Just booked Norwegian Getaway! I sail 4/11/15. Will be my 2nd cruise, 1st Solo. Kinda nervous, yet excited for some relaxation time away from work! Kinda last minute as booking a couple weeks earlier than planned was quite cheaper!
-
That section on the website regarding name changes being considered cancellations is what made me nervous. I'm sure final payment has passed as I'm sailing 4/25. I may go the TA route, but won't that limit my options to view and make reservations for shows etc online?

Good to know about the name change fees.. As much as the solo cabins run, I might as well bring a friend or family member. I understand that 7-8 days can be a while to take away from work, kids etc.

Knew I could rely on you guys! Awesome I appreciate the info

Thanks. What about if I don't know who the passenger will be?

This will be my second cruise, first time sailing with Norwegian. I'm so excited to experience the Getaway next month!
I am wondering how big of an issue it is if I don't know who will be joining me yet? I know the charges are usually based on double occupancy, but will there be additional charges/name change fees etc to add the second passenger once I figure it out if I book the cabin now? Also, I usually prefer to book myself but does going through an agency make any difference as far as when the passenger info is needed?
I tried the website and a few dummy bookings without much luck... thanks in advance!

Thanks to each of you!

Gosh thanks ladies. For less than 30 a bag... get up on it

Not the best photo of the dress but the only full length one ive got right now of it. I got this for a great deal at Burlington Coat factory. No bra required and it was very comfy

i might add it was very simple to maintain. Just slept with it in two braids (or twist if i was too lazy) and threw a scarf on top. I loved being able to just comb out the braids then spray water and garnier fructis in it and go!

Just a post cruise update guys, here's how the hair looked. It is the wet and wavy sew in on formal evening, before i hopped into all that salt/chlorine water. It did hold up pretty nicely though

I'm going on my first cruise in June and have been stressing about what to do with my hair. I keep it relaxed and was thinking there wasn't much I could do besides stay out of the water for the most part and then just work with having to sit in my room doing my hair for an hour or so if I decided to get it wet (not much fun to think about this cutting into my 5 days!). I've also been looking around at swim caps but those don't keep all the water out either and so I've been pretty frustrated.
I've never had a weave before but I'm seriously going to think about a wet & wavy now because it seems so easy and I want to ENJOY my vacation not worry about my hair!
So glad I found this thread! Thanks for the info, ladies. :)
Go for it! My hair is relaxed as well and sometimes it needs a break from all of that styling, flat ironing etc. During the times when i wore sew ins religiously my hair was always a nice length and grew much healthier. plus i didnt have to get my ends clipped half as much because they were protected so i was able to retain that length much easier

Question, do you ladies use nets to weave, or without? I'm trying to decide myself. Thanks!
For a cruise, id recommend going without a net. You will need to wash your hair occasionally and that would make it more messy/difficult. Braids underneath the sew in going horizontilly usually works best

Sorry that should have read Zury * Indian remi. Predictive text..

wow so glad to know I am not the only one fretting about how to wear my hair! I was concerned about all the washing and flat ironing between swims and for formal evenings damaging my hair after working so hard to grow it back out. Ladies I found wet and wavy extensions that will allow for a nice low maintenance Glam look!!! Its called zyrtec Indian remi wet and wavy and I'm getting it in the loose deep curl pattern. Ill be sewing it in and leaving minimal hair out around my edges and to blend up top, it seems pretty easy to wash etc. And there are a few YouTube bids I found helpful. I ordered offline since my local beauty supply didn't carry it
