We just did brunch at the Solarium bistro.  They had the normal breakfast stuff (eggs, their weird bacon, beans, sausages, corn beef hash etc) as well as fried rice, roast chicken, turkey, mashed potatoes.

Love the convenience of the bistro when we are already in the solarium and it never seems as hectic as the WJ.

I thought that I read someplace that there is an omelet station in the Solarium Bistro, did. you happen to notice.  Thanks

  2. The best part for me was having dinner set up on my balcony every night from the MDR. I was traveling with my older parents and very young children so it was the most perfect setup. Theres so much to watch from the balcony. It was quite loud in the evenings, but I loved it. The deck is insanely large and be prepared to never want to stay in a normal cabin again. You will love it.

I have stayed in this cabin before. You are so right, very hard to stay in a regular cabin after it. We are celebrating my son in laws 40th bday and have arranged to have Chops served on the balcony. An extra bonus will be the Total Solar Eclipse that day.

We were on for Superbowl Sunday and there was a massive party in the Aqua Theater area. ESPN was onboard and they also broadcast the game there. So much fun to be in the middle of everything but not in the crowd.

  3. Decided to splurge on this suite for the 8/20/17 sailing. As this will very likely be a one time thing I want the benefit of the experience of the folks on Cruise Critic.

All input will be greatly appreciated as to positives, negatives, and other things I need to know.

Hi Diamond Dandy, I am in the other 2 bedroom Aqua Theater Suite on the 8/20/17 sailing. We can wave back and forth to each other. We have been in contact with our Genie, Allan. Is he also yours? Won't be long now. See you onboard.

  4. You can use onboard credit to give a gratuity any crewmember. Guest Services has a form you can fill out to charge a gratuity to your onboard account, which will come from onboard credit (should you have any left) at the end of the cruise.

Thank you, guess I'll be transferring points today.

  5. Thank you for taking all of us along on your voyage. I am sailing on Oasis in a 2 bedroom Aqua Theater Suite in 6 weeks and have learned much from this thread. This will be our 1st time in a Star Class and are really looking forward to it. We will be traveling with my daughter and her family. My grand daughters are 5 and 2. We are planning on taking advantage of the specialty dining. When we hear from our Genie I plan on having him make our dining reservations and will ask him to have us seated early. Are there a lot of other children dining in the specialty restaurants? I wold not try taking them to 150 Central Park but am assuming that they will be fine in the others. They are very well behaved but children do get bored having to sit that long. The 5 year old would be no problem but the 2 year old might start to get itchy. Just don't want to have people rolling their eyes at us.

Do you know if there are spin classes in the gym and what the cost is.

Again, thank you for sharing with us and safe travel home.

    Marissa

  6. I will be on the Oasis of the Seas and visiting Nassau in August. I needed info on the Dig at Atlantis, the following is a copy of my online chat with them.

The pricing through Royal is $49 person and includes transport. From what I have gathered the taxi is $4 per person. I will have a 2 year old with me and at the Atlantis she is free, through Royal it appears that I will have to pay for her.

  7. It not just the Skyloft suite that is no longer Star class it is also all the 2 bedroom Aquatheatre suites as well.

Only 2 Star class suites on Harmony. The Royal Loft and

    The 4 bedroom suite.

3 Star class suites on Allure and Oasis. Royal Loft, Grand Loft and Owners Loft.

Looks like it's down to 1 genie per ship.

Are the changes to Star Class not happening until May 2018????? I booked a 2 Bedroom Aqua Theater Suite for this August.

  8. Dined at Chef's Table on the Serenade last week on the Serenade. We had the exact same menu that you posted. The Chef did say that the menu was the same fleet wide. They did ask if anyone needed something different. One of the diners said that they didn't eat beef and that course was replaced with some type of fish. The dinner was amazing.

  9. Received my email from our Genie. We are on Oasis 9/10. Has anyone had Smitha Judoobur? Haven't seen that name mentioned yet.

I will be on Oasis in the Aqua Theater Suite on deck 8 next year at this time. I booked it a few weeks ago. I thought that I read somewhere that they would contact me 8 days after booking. Was this your experience?

Sorry that I couldn't help with your question but wish you a wonderful voyage.
