  1. I am about to book the Lisbon to Cape Town cruise on Splendor in November but just read elsewhere that Starlink will not be operative on Splendor by the time of that cruise?  Does anyone know for sure whether that is true?  I absolutely need fast internet to stay in touch with my business on a cruise of this length.

    Thanks in advance.

  2. Any recent news on when we might expect to see a casino -- even a teensy casino -- on Serenity?   Keith?  Anyone?

  3. My physical therapist has recommended that I work out each day on a stationary bike as part of my recovery from knee surgery.  Does anyone know if they have these on the Queen Victoria?

A photo would be appreciated if you have one.

    Thanks in advance.

  4. We are giving belated thought once again to joining the 2024 World Cruise.  Does anyone have a good fix on how many guests will be on board -- both full cruisers and segment cruises -- when Serenity sails from San Diego?

  5. Big change in itinerary.  We were just told that after Vista's stop in St. John, New Brunswick, Wednesday, the ship is going to race straight to New York -- skipping Bar Harbor, skipping Boston, skipping Newport, and docking in New York Friday morning.

Anyone know where we are going to dock in New York?  If in Manhattan, that's pretty good news.  If in Brooklyn or New Jersey, we will be more distressed.

  6. Well, I don't agree with paragraph one.  But I am 110 percent with you, Keith, on Paragraph 3.

And again, thanks for your many postings from the first two cruises.  It heightened our anticipation of the current cruise, which we are very thankful to be on.

Now, it's off to Umi Uma!  What a wonderful world.

  7. For years, I have heard Oceania cheerleaders insisting their ships have the best food at sea.  Having now spent close to three months on Oceania ships, we find these claims absolutely incredible.  The food in Oceania restaurants does not come even close to Crystal, Seabourn or Silversea, and in our view is quite some distance behind Regent and Viking.  And it's not just the dining room.  Jacques, in our view, may actually be the most overrated specialty restaurant at sea.

  8. I would love to see Crystal build a ship just like Endeavor, which we spent a wonderful nine days on sailing among the British Virgins (though our view of it might have been influenced by the fact that we shared it with only 47 other guests in the post-pandemic aftermath).

  9. Keith,

I have not seen anything about the 8-night Serenity cruise from Southampton to Reykjavik, which is also port intensive.  Will there be a formal night on that cruise, and if so, which one?

Also, are you able to find out what time Serenity gets into Reykjavik on Aug. 29th, and whether we will be able to get off for dinner in town if we desire?

    Thanks

  10. Yes, I understand how that works.  But I have a mostly-paid-for booking on a 2024 cruise that is not appearing.  I have a voyage confirmation email, i have a booking number, I have a voyage number -- but no sign of the booking on My Silversea.  There must be some webmaster link that I can report this to.  I do not see the need to get my TA involved.

  11. One of my bookings does not come up when I click on the bookings tab on the website, and I can't see any link where one would inquire about website problems.  Anyone have any ideas.  Thanks.
