  2. Had the same thing happen to myself when my girlfriend passed. It would be cheaper to have him as a no show. I had a 7nt, out of Puerto Rico, aft balcony. I lost a pretty penny, but the hassle of trying to get my money back from a early saver rate I agreed to, was too much. Figure out if no show would be the way to go. My condolences.

This is definitely how much I paid for a 8M (Aft extended) March 29th on the Dream. I also get $50 OBC for 2 people. I doubt this is a good deal, but WTH.

  4. My friend got her passport card & being overzealous I said let's go to Canada. She had her passport card, I forgot my passport book was at home. Living in Detroit going to Canada is like going to the suburbs for lunch. It was easy getting over there. Just showed my drivers license. Getting back across the border I was told by a border agent to go to immigration. After showing ID & being chastised for 4 HOURS, I was finally let back into the U.S. of A. LOL I haven't been to Canada since for being traumatized. :(

  5. Was the aft balcony big enough for loungers or did it just have the two chairs and small table like the regular balconies?

We had 2 chairs, a table, & a lounger. The lounger was along the front of the balcony, but with a little arranging it could be moved toward the door.

  6. We cruised on the Liberty last month and stayed in midship balcony room 7334. This room was very warm. It never got cool even with the fan they gave us and keeping the curtains drawn and balcony door closed. There was hardly any air coming from the ceiling vent. It was freezing in our hallway, but hot in our room. I was looking to book an extended aft balcony on the Liberty for a future cruise and wanted to know if anyone has stayed in any of the extended aft balcony cabins, and if the room was cool. We like it cool for when we sleep and in this room we couldn't even sleep with the covers on. Thanks for any input.

We were in 7447 on the march 28th cruise this year. It was pretty cold in the room. We slept under the blanket. Just don't fall asleep on the balcony in port. Not good.

  7. Hi all! We are two couples, one male, one female (with a teenager), and we are excited to be on the Liberty in March! :p So who else is going to be on our ship?

My wife and I are on this cruise. We'll be In Miami a day before sailing. There's a techno festival I wanna check out.

  8. Easy. The most perfect 9 day round trip tropical island cruise in the world for any cruise line, ideally for an R size ship, in my opinion. Every port is a magical Pacific island of which people only dream. Alas, no one offers anything even close.

    Sunday Papeete

    Monday sea day

    Tuesday American Samoa

    Wednesday Samoa

    Thursday Tuvalu

    Friday Vanuatu

    Saturday Fiji

    Sunday Tonga

    Monday sea day

    Tuesday Papeete

Can anyone even imagine a better itinerary? 2 territories and 5 independent nations in 9 days! If one could expand to 11 days, then between Tuvalu and Vanuatu, add a sea day followed by Solomon Islands (2 territories and 6 independent nations in 11 days).

This itinerary is THE best! No I couldn't imagine a better line up. Unless you added Bora Bora into the equation.

  9. We will be booking the Carnival Liberty for 8 night on Friday Aug 22 and wondering if anybody has advice for best 1) Balcony room and 2) best ocean view room, havnt decided which yet ? looking for quiet rooms but close to elevators etc

Also how does early saver work and how do u book it thru carnival

    Thanks

    Craig and Tina

I would advise you to get a aft balcony. The 6th or 7th floor would be great. Any room that has cabins above and below it, so the foot traffic doesn't bother you while resting.
