  1. Just received a notice of changes to ANZ Platinum complimentary International travel Insurance today.

I'm just checking to see if anyone else received the notice in the mail,  as I could be reading this incorrectly.

Insurable events before the 7th June 2024 don't change but events on and after 7th June 2024 some things will change.

International Travel Insurance:- Period of cover for Platinum Credit Card cardholders -(In 2023 the period of cover was six consecutive months) has now changed after 7th June 2024 to:- three months consecutive insurance for cardholders, their spouses and/or dependants.

There are other changes but this one is more important to me if I was on the 113 day World Cruise in 2025.

    thanks in advance.

  2. Questions I would like to ask:-

1.When I phone Princess, why do I get a different answer to the same question.  They say they will ring back and never do. So I ring and ask the question again, again a different answer etc say they will ring and never do. So frustrating... Surely they have a manager they can ask...

    2. Why do you have formal nights and then allow passengers to walk into the MDR with ripped tshirts, shorts or baseball hats.

    3. First section of the  Around the world cruises from Australia, always they same old same old ports to Dubai.

    4. When will the Circle Pacific cruises resume from Australia.  They are very popular.

    5. Why does my Ocean Ready profile still shows me cruising on the Royal Princess in Mexico when I booked a New Zealand cruise for 2023 and the ship  has been repositioned back to USA.

  3. I was on this cruise and we enjoyed the food especially Angelo's.  We did the Luke Mangan Degustation meal one night which was fabulous.  We found the coffee at Charlies ( Level 5) very good, but if you wanted a large size,  you had to have it in a takeaway cup.  Waterfront Restaurant for lunch was nice, the dinner menu was OK but that may have been what I chose.  We enjoyed our time on the ship, first P&O cruise for hubby since P&O Canberra... a long while ago

  4. Cruised out of OPT on the Canberra and old Oriana. Streamers, marching bands...and enjoyed showing friends and family who came on board around the ship.

There use to be a cruise terminal at Jones Bay Wharf in Pyrmont in the 50's and 60's. The wharves are still there, only now its restaurants and small boutique businesses. Doltone House function centre is now there too...seen many a wedding there.

  5. Was looking through a roll call and someone has recently posted:-

"Just talked with Princess Cruises and found out that from October 2017 all Princess Shore Excursions must be pre-paid. ( can still be cancelled and full refund received)"

Has anyone else heard that you now have to prepay shore excursions. I know I have received a notice "Shore Excursion Payment Due" for next January cruise but it had no pay by date that I could see.

    Confused.....:o

Yes all my excursions that I have booked have disappeared, this is new....the notice below as I re booked said :-

"Unpaid excursion(s) in your shopping cart will clear within 24 hours. Please move excursion(s) you will not buy today to your wish list".

Melbourne is a lovely place to be overnighting. Will be following your blog and via Bridge Cam and pretend to be on the cruise with you all:D

  8. Just off the Diamond Princess.

The ship areas were very clean throughout the cruise and sanitisers within reach of all passengers. Had a great cruise, don't know anyone who was sick but once the sick numbers were up, the crew went into overdrive with sanitation. Professionally handled, would have stayed on ship for next cruise, loved it that much.
