  1. No, it's only available to Diamond Plus and Pinnacle C&A members.

Bob they now have a SPECIAL available to all people on some ships. I am D+ and get the BOGO for first night but I also purchased the BOGO special for mt wife and myself at $30 per person on Anthem. We get the choice of dining time and if you select a second time slot you may choose the second evening also online or just wait to be surprised on the ship. It took some time to figure out RCCL secrets to get what you want online but it can be done it just takes some work. The D+ BOGO would cost more if going to Wonderland at $49 and then Chops or Jamies another evening. But as others said it is a crap shoot if they change your times.

  2. Hi just a little point of interest for you Americans out there. Europe isn't a country it's a continent with stable and unstable countries within, I detect a misplaced fear that we have over here bombers on every corner and jihadists on every street corner. Thankfully I can report this is not the case. Statistically you are more likely to be killed back over in America in your monthly school massacres. On a much happier note I am heading over to the U S of A to board the Independence transatlantic back home in 5 weeks time. Any tips for a night out in Fort Lauderdale.

I can give you some advice but not on this channel see you on the ship.

  3. Had no problem except waiting for family in front of me looking for ID and paperwork to go through security. But then the Diamond line was fast and I was on the ship and in the Schooner lounge within 30 minutes of paying for the taxi. It was the fastest Time at the counter to check in less than two minutes. Handed them my Set Sail and Credit card, filled out the I am not sick form, took picture for sea pass and gone on my way.

  4. We have done it twice. Split the cost with another couple but was only 250 for the cabana. If it is up to 500 then would need 6 people for sure to make it worth the cost. All depends if you NEED shade or can not stay in the sun or have health issues. Great for Family to have central meeting place to store stuff if needed.

  5. For all it is worth. It is your FIRST cruise. You should enjoy the cruise and not be worried about the kids, not be worried about flying, or anything else. Save those for later when the kids are older and you are both a bit more seasoned,

Take a cruise with as many port calls as possible and either Freedom Class ship or Voyager Class is fine since they are larger ships to give you more room. You can go to smaller ships later if cruising is for you or even Oasis class.

7 nite western is a nice trip and usually calm and relaxing. I am not sure what you like to do so you must choose that yourself as well as everything else. Freedom is a nice ship with very friendly staff. You also can call home from San Juan or St Thomas on most cell phone plans but check yours first.

What ever you decide enjoy your cruise and try not to do everything all at once. Relax and have fun.

  6. Have gone to Maho a few times and sometimes there was a beach other times they sent it out to get cleaned and just rocks. Still nice to relax at Sunset, grab a table with friends and watch the planes and surf. Great food, fun watching people ignore the warning signs and getting sand blasted from the jet wash then say OH! that's why you should not stand here.

  7. No Worries on the seating in MDR there are many non arm chairs I get them all the time. In the Ice Rink top row with tables no arms and top by railing nice view also. Schooner bar and Boleros has armless chairs and as said the Wind jammer is the only problem with only a few places that are comfortable so many just have brakfast in MDR or grab lunch and eat out on deck. Good luck with the loss it takes time but it feels good.
