Assume Viking Star cruises will be back on schedule well before our 9/15/2015 Barcelona to Venice cruise.

Agree. Not sure if I were in this situation, if I would even want to book another cruise with Viking - given some of the other issues we have encountered. So much happier with their River Cruise booking experience.

We are watching how this play out as well. We are scheduled to sail on 9/15/2015 from Barcelona to Rome. Hope plenty of time to get things fixed, and back on track for upcoming cruises.

Leaving from Barcelona on September? We have another couple coming with us. Time is finally nearing, after booking 2 years ago on the Viking Star on the Mediterranean Odyssey Cruise and extending in Rome.

It really depends on the cruise and the type of cruise. The cruise you have chosen should give you dress code in their Q & A's. That said, when we did the Viking River Cruises, it was more casual, no really dressy nights. Shorts were OK around the ship, longer pants in the dinning room for the guys, and skirts and blouses or slacks for the ladies. The cruise we are taking in September - Mediterranean, is a bigger Ocean Ship, but still pretty causal. Goys don't have to wear ties and jackets not really necessary. Again, I just went to the Q and A's and asked about dress code.
