  1. I wanted to point this out, traveling with my elderly mother who doesn't have a passport and she traveled with her drivers license and certified copy of her birth certificate.  I was concerned about her B/C not matching exactly to her married name, was informed that since her last name on her B/C is now her middle name on her D/L (maiden name) she didn't have to show a marriage license.

  2. When you said "Note:  Boarding was on Deck 7 at the Atrium, which meant it was a VERY long walk up the ramp from ground level."

Wanted to ask, I am cruising end of May with my 78 year old mother who has some mobility challenges.  She can walk, uses a walker some time but gets out of breath very easily.  I have been considering requesting a wheelchair but she is adamant that she will be able to walk onto the ship.  Your thoughts?

  3. I didn't upload anything for any of my party.  When I booked our cruise a couple of weeks ago I went completed the vaccination survey.  This is the Vaccine Attestation.  You won't upload any documents until closer, or at least for my May cruise it will not let me even upload my vaccine card.

Below is the vaccine attestation that they are talking about not uploading any documents.  There is a drop down on which you select if you are or are not fully vaccinated.

Are you, or will you be fully vaccinated with a WHO or FDA authorized COVID-19 vaccine at least 14 days before boarding? (Fully vaccinated is you received the final dose of a vaccine series at least 14 days before embarkation.)

  4. These emails are just reminders and yes they should be worded differently.  I freaked out when I got mine and called and stayed on hold for almost 2 hours for them to say if my Vaccination Survey is marked out and it says completed for each passenger than everything was done correctly.  I got the same email for several days and finally they stopped.  Yes my cruise is still booked and good to go. Many people on here have received the same emails.  Nothing to worry about as long as you have completed the survey.

  5. Well she found her birth certificate, and it's a certified copy.  She can't find her marriage license, so I am going to call  Carnival tomorrow to make sure she will be ok with her BC and DL.  Her maiden name is her middle name now so the names are on both BC and DL and of course the birthdate will match.  I hope they don't require her marriage license because she's been married and divorced twice so her marriage license has a completely different last name than her birth certificate.  If I tell her she has to have her birth certificate, her drivers license, her marriage licenses and divorce papers, I might just get disowned.  🙂

  6. I am taking my 79 year old mother on a cruise and trying to figure out what she might need for identification to board.  She doesn't have a passport and since this is a quick booking for May 2022 not sure if we can even get one in time.  So, she has a valid drivers license (RealID) and is looking for her birth certificate.  But I was reading that she might need her marriage license as well to prove her married name on her license to her maiden name.  Her middle name on her license is her maiden name so it will match her birth certificate.  Before I call Carnival and get put on hold for hours I thought I would ask here, if she will indeed need her marriage license.  She's already nervous about not having the right documentation so trying to figure this all out.

  7. Good morning,

My daughter and I are going on a cruise togehter. Just the two of us this time.

Regarding the beds, should we leave them as twins or is it better to move them together?

All other times when the family went they were moved together for husband and I and the kids had the pull down bunks.

What would work best in regards to the room configuraiton and comfort for the two of us this time?

    Thanks,
