  1. As of yesterday, you can go online and book the Millennium in Alaska, starting with July 23, 2021 sailing.  My reservation on the Summit, as others above, was marked Cancelled, as it should be on the Summit.  I'm now on the Millennium.  What I did not like was that I was able to do a mock reservation for the room I had already paid for on the Summit.  You would think Celebrity would move us straight across - but no - my room was available for anyone to book, as my Celebrity Team member had not made the change yet.  He is off work until Sunday.  My room may not be available come Sunday since it's up for sale on their site.  I spoke with Revenue and my reservation now shows me in my room on the Millennium.  Let's go cruising!  I too love that I book direct with Celebrity (no middle man to wait on).

Well documented it can be used for anything on cruise planner.   Question will be if they do anything different onboard.  My personal opinion is their onboard accounting system would need quite a bit of work to categorize purchases to be able to differentiate.  My bet is it will all be applied to your onboard account and all charges against the account will be debited against the total.

Hopefully in a couple of weeks we can get some real life experience, and that OBC is the least of their worries on these early sailings.

I agree and look forward to getting real answers as opposed to us guessing what might be the case after 15 months of not cruising. Even checking on hotels, excursions, etc. all of it will be so different from the 'old answers" we use to know and give.  Thanks

  3. I did call Celebrity to get clarification and she said pretty much what your above example shows.  Elevate only gets Shore excursion OBC, must be used for shore excursions and nothing else onboard.  Indulge includes the shore excursion OBC, which has to be used for Shore Excursions and an additional General OBC that can be used on all items onboard.  So the $150 you get with Elevate can’t be used for dinners, upgrades, or purchasing items.  Indulge comes with $300, $150 for Shore excursions only and $150 for anything.

  4. I'm sticking with the 3 nighter also - I'll sail with whomever, it doesn't matter to me.  Mine hasn't been cancelled, it still shows in my list of cruises so I feel I am good.  The only problem is when I try to add an excursion or specialty dining, it shows my cruise is in 1 day.  That does concern me, not that I even was truly going to book anything, but I was hoping that would settle the questions about whether it would really be a go or not.  No such luck!

  5. You’re doing great tommy3putts. I’m not sure I ever met you, but I was sailing, and drinking along with you. We had a blast! We may have took over the sunset bar after you left each night. Closed it and moved to Sky lounge some evenings. Missed you at the Slot Pull. 30 of us had a pretty good time. I’ll see if I have anything to add or any photos. I did save all the paper work if anyone wants to see anything special.

  6. I'm on her in Dec, 2018, and I really hope they clean up where the passenger spilled her drink, or else it will ruin my cruise.LOL.

EXCUSE me, it was a him, not a her, that spilled their drink and didn't clean up after themself!! lol;p

  7. Hehe, I read that as beard wearing and thought I found my people!

I'll be the big tall fat guy with the long beard. :)

I'll watch for you! The 'bead wearing group', Neil, is a group of us crazy cruisers who have been chatting on here for a few months now, anticipating our cruise. We will wear mardi gras beads the first day in order to meet each other while sailing away in the Sunset Bar. Come join us.

  8. Yes, and I'm looking for Vincent (Vyncent) too. He was in the Rendezvous evenings, but always made my Bloody Mary's at Sunset Bar early in the mornings. Also would love to see Nichola, Andrea, Singh, Gabriel, Romar, and of course Gede at the Martini Bar, but they come and go and switch ships so I will enjoy everyone I do meet and making many new friends!!!

    #captainkatemccue #celebritysummit Here I come!!

  9. Hello everybody. I have two questions concerning our June 18th cruise. #1 can we still bring water on board at check in with luggage tags? and question #2.where do the Bead wearing/ cruise connections/meet and mingle group meet during sail away. Very curious. We heard it was at the Sunset Bar (Ocean View). Is this correct? This is our 6th time on the Summit but first time wearing beads. I know the CC gang can help us out. Thank you,Watson50, (Keith and Carol):D

Last I heard we were still meeting at the Sunset Bar, shortly after the Muster Drill, sometime during sail away.

I'll be a little later as I like to watch us going by the Statue and under the bridge from my own Balcony. See you soon!

  10. I love the Captains of the Summit! The size of the ship is perfect as stated above. We stayed busy all day and evening. I thought the food in MDR was fine, so other options weren't a must do, but always love Qzine and Tuscan. Since Bistro is gone, I'm sure I'll give Sushi a try. It was good on Silhouette. I'm not sure when you are going, but if it's within the next 2 months, plan on the crowds from the America's Cup. Lots of action and people every where, I'm thinking. We are heading there again June 18 for what we hope will be the final races. Enjoy

  11. Thanks for all the responses. We are going to be on the June 18th sailing for the AmCup. I hope I have a chance to meet her. She has a very inspiring story!

You will meet her (if she's on the ship). She is very visible and loves chatting with the people. Have your phone ready for a photo and be ready to make a fish face - she loves using your phone to take a selfie with you!

  12. I always book direct with Celebrity - they have always done a great job for me and every time I call they are so willing to find me the best of everything. I have gotten upgrades and many reductions and adds on, but you do have to initiate the call. I figure I can do that and watch my own bookings for price reductions or cabin upgrades, then make the call, and poof it is done!! I have never seen a need for a 'third party' to have to run everything by and depend on them to call when I can make one call and it is done. Glad it worked out well for you, too!
