Can someone tell me how to email the maitre d of the sensation about our table assignment?
-
We had a cove balcony on the Dream and LOVED it! Close to the water line, very private and cozy! No cons for us.

I found it funny :). I don't google much.
You can buy ginger root in the produce dept of the grocery store and I think it may come in pill form. You can buy it picked as well, the same stuff you get on your plate with sushi. In Pensacola, FL, where I live, we are the home of the Navy Blue Angels. They chew it and give it to the media that go up with them in the jets to keep from being sick.

When I checked one way airfare from Barcelona a few days about it was close to $3,000 per person. Not worth it it us.

We will be on the Fantasy in November when it returns to Mobile. In February, we were on the Dream and honestly, it was too big for us. We prefer the smaller and more intimate ships like the Fantasy (and our favorite RCI's Serenade of the Seas). Does anyone know if Fantasy has gone to the American Table menu?
-
During the time frame you are looking at, you will usually find the rates cheaper the week after Thanksgiving. We did miss Grand Cayman on a November cruise once due to high winds (it is a tender port) but not sure that's the norm. Living in Florida, we've learned that hurricanes and weather in general have a mind of their own and don't always follow the rules. :)

Does anyone know if there is beach access at Pancho's Backyard at the pier at Puerta Maya? Or any other places with beach access at the pier? Thanks!
Where is the beach access at Pancho's? We have only seen the lounge chairs under the palms but there is a seawall in front with no access. Would like to know where the access point to the beach/water is.

Thanks for the review! We will be on Fantasy in November when she moves to Mobile so I was wondering how the upgrades were. One question - Does Fantasy now have the American Table menus?
-
According to the carnival website the Fantasy does have Seuss at sea events but what these events are I have no idea. Perhaps someone who has sailed on the ship since its upgrade could provide a more detailed answer,
Paul
Seuss At Sea events include a parade with the characters (Cat in the Hat, Thing 1 and 2, etc.) and also for $5.00 breakfast with the characters as well as Seuss inspired menu (green eggs and ham, etc.) I don't have small children and have not been, but I'v heard from others that it's fun to go to even if you don't have kids with you.

Has Fantasy gone to the American Table menus/settings yet? We are sailing on November from Mobile. Weren't that impressed with the regular menu on the Dream in February so hoping to try the new menu.
-
Hope it's okay if I tag on and ask a similar question.....I've booked early saver with 50% reduced deposit ($150) for November. There is a $90 price drop now but no reduced deposit. If i claim a price reduction does that mean I have to also pay the rest of the deposit to make it a full deposit, do I keep my assigned cabin? This is only my 2nd Carnival cruise so I'm not sure exactly how it works.

We leave Sunday, February 21st, on the Dream, and it is also DH's birthday. I noted his "special occasion" when I completed our guest information. Guess we will see whether or not he gets a card or anything special. Of note, I can understand why Carnival would only give gifts if you are celebrating a birthday or anniversary WHILE you are on the ship. It's a stretch to expect something for your anniversary or birthday sailing when you are sailing a month later or earlier, etc. IMHO.

Speak for yourself. Commas and smileys are my best friends.:p
Might I suggest purchasing, reading and applying the content of the book "Eats Shoots and Leaves" or what, maybe the title is "Eats, Shoots & Leaves". It's either about a Panda eating or a gunslinger shooting, depending on where you add the commas.
-
First you will want to make sure your bookings are all linked. To do that just call Carnival or your travel agent' date=' but you will need to have everyone's booking numbers. Then you can email the Maitre D, and I think for the dream it is [email']demaitred@carnival.com[/email].
Just verifying the email is de....not dr.... correct?

Interested to know the answer for this, there are 11 of us. 6 adults, 5 children. We are on the same cruise as you Bama!
YAH- Welcome aboard! We've been booked for almost a year so we are definitely read to go! We started with just me and my DH (his birthday celebration on the 21st) but it grew from there, lol..I sent the email off this morning requesting how we would like the group tables set up (two 8-tops with specific assignments). I will let you know if/when I hear back. I think they have 10-tops which might work for you, depending on the ages/sizes of the children.

Thanks all!

We will be sailing in two weeks (Feb 21st) on the Dream. We have a group of 16 but we all booked separately I want to request that we have two 8-tops for dinner. Is there an email address I can write to in order to request rather than waiting until we board?

I've been looking for a horseback riding excursion and my husband doesn't want to go so it will be just me. I hate to ask this, but......do you know if this ranch is the same one where the anchorwoman was at and was murdered a month or so ago? Or how close to that area this ranch is? Just wondering about the safety aspect.

Julia Street Terminal is Royal Caribbean's terminal.

I would prefer the Dream over the Breeze simply because of the port. We love sailing out of NOLA. The city is great and the trip down the Mississippi is something you can't experience at other ports. True, the Breeze has Guy's burgers, but I'd forego a burger for NOLA and the Mississippi any day.

We plan to use Fulton again next month. Used Machu picchu before but didn't like it.
-
We like Fulton Garage. Great price if you book ahead of time.

Best Horse Back riding jungle experience in Belize would be with waytogotoursbelize.com . I've used them before for Horse Back
Do they pick up from the port or do you have to get your own transportation? From Belize City.

DH loves to fly--I HATE it! Never an argument between us on who sits in the window seat. If I fly alone, and have to sit there, I pull down the shade, bury myself in a book at least until we level off. I'm a terrible flyer and usually self medicate, at the bar, prior to boarding....bloody marys if it's a morning flight and dirty martinis otherwise....several. Last time I flew for work, DH didn't go and while looking at our bank account during the time I was waiting on my flight at BWI, he kept seeing my bar bill increase exponentially. By the time he picked me up in BHM I was a pretty mellowed out flyer lol.
This Could Be Financially Dangerious If.........

Curious to know why you wouldn't consider cruising out of NOLA or Tampa. We've gone out of NOLA many times and going out of Tampa in December for the first time. What about Tampa should we be concerned about?
