Sorry do not understand your question about Good?
For August the current rate for Princess gift cards at AARP rewards is an 8% discount.
I believe he meant "Good Question".

With any wedding that I've attended lately, the gentlemen in the bridal party just wear nice suits. Of course, they're under the age of say, 35.

A friend in South Carolina claims those aren't roaches, they're Carolina water bugs
I live in South Carolina, and we call them Palmetto Bugs. But they're still cockroaches.

I have known people who ordered the fettucine every night of the cruise. Anything Princess calls "Mama's" or the like is suspect. Grandma's Coq au Vin is the worst thing the ever put on a plate.
I'm doing the Sky next month. We shall see.
MY DH ordered Coq au Vin on the CB and sent it back because it was BEEF!

I know this all has historically been true in Vines.
However, the Vines experience has been so downgraded on my last 2 cruises, I wonder if they even have the 'special' wine glasses any more? On our last cruise (August), no one ever mentioned us not taking the glasses to the dining room and the servers were the same servers as at the International Cafe, so not even sure they were serving wine in the special glasses? I wasn't thinking about the glasses at the time, so didn't take note. I was more concerned about the lack of white wine choices.....
Anyone have really recent experience that can confirm these glasses are still special?
The Carribean Princess did not have the Riedel glasses in Vines this past January.

We had this issue as well on the Regal. We were next door to a family of six passengers. Supposed to be Mom and child in the mini suite next to ours and Dad and other three kids in the inside cabin across the hall. Well, you know it really turned out to be Mom and Dad in the mini suite and all four kids across the hall. The kids kept running back and forth slamming the doors at all hours. One day the Mom jokingly "apologized" for her kids' behavior, but never did anything about it.
I never thought of saying something to the room steward. I'm sure they'd know it was us who complained.

We call it "The Prater".

Before we left for our last cruise, we went to the dollar store and made several small purchases to break up some of the big bills.

The salmon on the bagel for breakfast in the MDR starts to get old after a few days into the cruise. We avoid it later on in the cruise.

We loved that Caribbean Princess has the full promenade to walk around. However, Crooner's is so small that there is hardly any seating space if there is a popular performer.

For most of us on the East Coast, it's easy enough to drive to Colonial Williamsburg and just buy admission tickets and stay at a nice hotel.

On the Regal January 2022, in Sabatini's, I made the mistake of ordering too many seafood items because they all looked so good on the menu. But by time of the last entree (in parchment which they wouldn't open for me because of Covid) I was tired of 'fishy' items. Or perhaps i was just too full.
Definitely enjoyed Crown Grill with the lamb chops on the CB this last month.

I was on the CB in January. For the "loaded baked potato", the potato is served on a separate plate and the server will bring the sour cream, and other toppings and place them on the potato.

And also, do they automatically charge you when and if the excursion becomes available?

Have you heard whether UBD is available?

And the insurance!
DH drives a Porsche Cayenne. The insurance is not high. But $500 plus to get the oil changed.

We also were on a cruise with a lot of college kids from Florida schools. Had no idea that college students could afford a cruise, especially Princess. However, spring break for colleges can be at different dates than spring (or Easter) break for school children. So, it's hard to tell when the college students would be on a particular cruise.
I'd say avoid the shorter cruises.

Have they opened the Island MDR ?
-
Hopefully they open the Island dining room now that the CB is back in the Caribbean. My cruise in January has few openings available in either of the other dining rooms using Dine My Way. And no reservations are available for Specialty Dining on any evening.

Bay scallops, usually offered on Italian night, when I don't want pasta. They are small and overcooked to the point of being too chewy.
Caribbean Princess - good or bad?

We were on the CB on a sold-out Panama Canal cruise January 2023. The ship seemed crowded. And the MDR for dinner couldn't get its act together. Having to wait 20 or more minutes with a reserved dining time, we ended up reserving for 7:20 PM. Crooners is small with not much room to watch the performer. And our steward wasn't that great either. But we did like the wrap around promenade deck.
