  1. The Outrigger Bar area at the back of the ship has good views and plenty of seats. The Horizon Court starts continental breakfast at 5 a.m. (I haven’t been up that early to see if it’s true. The earliest I’ve walked around has been 6:15 a.m.) There’s self-service coffee and tea there. It will be convenient to take a cup of coffee from there to the Outrigger since they’re adjacent to each other.

The woman working in the shop whom I asked tonight said they did not have any more of the 50th anniversary items. I’ll look if we go to the outlet sale on our sea days after Curacao.

Thanks, Geoherb, glad I don't have to wait for 6 for coffee. And good info about Outrigger.

  2. Thank you so much for your updates and taking time to answer questions. I love to get up really early (addicted to sunrise/sunset) and sometimes have a hard time finding a nice outdoor seating area. If you have a suggestion please share. Also, do they have coffee anywhere before 6 a.m.? I too have a Southern accent (MS) and sometimes misunderstood. Especially when we lived in CA a couple of years.

  3. Thank you, Claudia B, that is the same situation we have. I don't care to sit in airport 7 hours nor sightsee in FLL as we will be there before cruise. Also, don't want to fly into New Orleans at dark and drive a couple of hours home. As we will be getting off the Century, which is a smaller ship, I'm hoping we'll make it o.k. We've been using self-disembarkation since before it became so popular. First time was in Copenhagen 12 yrs ago and I think they just let us off because we we went down and asked if we could leave the ship.

  4. I was glad to see someone, I believe it was Elena7 Seas, mention that the Aqua Spa had good coffee. Does anyone know if they are open early. I know I can get room service but that would wake my husband. I like to slip out and enjoy sunrise and enjoy my first cup or two of coffee on deck.

We are on 2/23/13 cruise on Century and it sounds as if some of you may be also.

    Patsy

  5. I echo CruizinSherry's thanks. We are staying right in town also for couple of days before cruise and are somewhat familiar with Boston. I had also done some research and found the Federal Wines and the other one on Boylston that would be convenient for us. Will check out the Shaw's, wasn't sure they carried wine.

    Thanks, again.
