  1. Going on a cruise for my Honeymoon, leave on April 17th and return on April 23, Port Canaveral , Carnival Magic.  Its been a while since I have been on a cruise, so I really do not remember how long it will take to get off the ship.   What is a the best time to book our return flight?

  2. I know this is a dumb question but for the life of me I cant find it on my Carnival Account page.  I just recently cancelled and received notification of a credit that is good for 2 years.  I was unclear on the amount and wanted to take a look, just to make sure I did not misunderstand the Carnival rep.

    Thanx

  4. I don't know if you have cruised yet or not, but I have been dropped off at Charleston port a number of times, each time it is different,  but the only constant has been that my luggage has been taken quickly and I have got to the check-in portion quickly.  There is a lot of construction going on it that area right now, but Charleston having such a small port they have gotten very good at moving passengers quickly.

  5. I think it depends on DJ, I have been on cruises were the club was rocking every night and have been when all the patrons  were sitting around trying to figure out what the heck the DJ was doing.    One cruise in particular on the Carnival Dream maybe eight years ago the DJ would play a good song the dance floor would be full and the transition right in middle of song to some mixed up mess, everyone would just stop and stare.  We nicknamed him Sir Mixes To Much.  He was also the DJ who told me when I requested a song that the reason the glass was in DJ both is so he did not have to listen me.  Rude.  I was polite when I asked.  Just had to walk away.

  6. Decided to surprise family and rented a villa for us,  its a splurge but it will be the first time all of us have cruised together, plus my brother and mother are both fair skinned so they will enjoy the shade.

  7. Here's the deal, promised my niece a cruise when she graduated from high school, she been wanting to cruise since she was a little girl, but her age, timing (aka Travel ball) never allowed for it to happen.  Anyway the only thing she wants to be able to do is be able to see her feet through the clear blue water. LOL  We are looking are  cruises now and I know what to expect from Half moon Cay, but not Princess Cay, are they comparable?  Which is better?

  8. OK, My parents both in the their mid 70's promised my niece that they would take her and a friend on a cruise in 2020 as a graduation present.  I will also be going single man early 50's.  There may be others my brother and his wife(early 50s), a 2 nephews and their wives and another niece and her husband (mid to early 30s) but they have not confirmed yet.

Anyway we are looking at the Harmony of the Seas 5 day Western Caribbean, we have never sailed with Royal Caribbean, I have sailed 13 times with Carnival and have watched  it steadily go down, My Parents have cruised Carnival, Princess, Holland America ect.  Will this ship be a good fit for our age groups, we are are all very active people and also just enjoy a day longing pool or beach side and live music.  The main concern is the two 17 year olds , will there be lots for them  to do?

What month did you sail? We sailed in Oct when it was in NY and we had the exact opposite, probably our families favorite Carnival ship.

November 11, 2016, absolutely hated it, I have probably been on about 12 cruises, that one made me take a break cruising, next year will be my first since that one and only because we promised my niece we would go for her graduation.

  10.  I really hate this ship, sailed on it in 2016.  It was by far the worst ship I have ever sailed on and first time I could not wait to get off a ship.  Poorly laid out, filthy, over crowded, wore out and beyond ugly.   The Atrium bar looked like the Brady bunch house threw up.  So disappointed!  Was planning a trip for next year to celebrate nieces graduation and had hoped to sail out of Charleston, looks like we will be going to Port Canaveral for a better ship.

  11. I know this is off topic, but this post reminds me of a story. A few years back my best friend from college was getting married for the first time at his parents lake house. They have a large workshop room that has a full bath and a set of bunk beds and several cots. This room became the single men's dorm in the days leading up to the wedding. My best friend and I got the bunk beds because they were more comfortable than the cots and we were the oldest two there (late 40's early 50's). I ended up getting the top bunk because I did not want the grooms dog to jump in bed with me, I am not a house pet person. Long story longer, I have sleep apnea and insomnia so I am up and down all night every-night. Sometime in the middle of the night I climb down out the bunk and manage to step onto and through a Styrofoam cooler that was at the foot of the bed:'). It makes a huge noise and I wake everyone up, there I am one foot in the cooler and one foot on the ladder just kind of stuck. Anyway we had a big laugh and declared this is why 50 year old men do not sleep in bunk beds.

  12. Hello, I am asking for my parents, they will be cruising to New England and Canada on a Princess ship this year and were curious as to when is the best time of year to see the fall colors in New England.

    Thanx
