That would be the 4 bedroom VILLA suite....very, very pricey!  Holds up to 14....you can't book that online...you have to call.  I don't believe there are any dividers when it's all one "space".

TY. Now to share the info with all other curious passengers on Reflection.

  2. We are in Cozumel docked across from the beautiful Symphony of the Seas. Sitting on our deck 14 we are looking at a balcony with a hot tub and 6 sets of double doors opening onto it. What type of suite is this and are the dividers removed to make the large balcony. Thank you for satisfying my curiosity.

  3. On Reflection now. Breakfast in Ocean View always good so far. Our traveling companions said in MDR service not so good and food not hot when served.

Had four dinners in MDR and found service very good and food not to my liking. Had gnocchi the other night that tasted like someone dropped a salt shaker into it. Sirloin steak was very good but I'm not much of a steak eater. DH had cheesecake in MDR he said was excellent. The onion soup, one of my favorites for years has a completely different taste and it is not better. Creme Brulee is wonderful as usual.  DH ordered escargots each night twice great twice burnt butter.

Two nights in Murano and outstanding service. Everyone thrilled with their meal.

One Tuscan Grill meal and I thought the filet was the best ever but home made pasta was heavy and grainy.

Lawn Club Grill tomorrow night and keeping fingers crossed.

We go to Ocean View every lunch and notice lots of variety. All good for the most part. Ice cream is to die for.

  4. On Reflection now and CD just announced the ship was notified of a demonstration outside the Port. All tours cancelled and stay onboard. Now more info. Dispute is between Taxi drivers and port. Now saying ok to get off and some tours will run. Maybe nachos and Margarita is a go after all.

  5. We always bring ours to keep beverages cold or hot. I usually order a drink and transfer it to my container but many bartenders ask me if I would prefer they make it in my own. The top on mine does come off so there is no germ transfer.

  6. Are you referring to Martini at the Martini bar ? I ask because, surely Martini is always available in Classic, just limited to your choice of Vodka or Gin.

Also if you paid the upgrade difference couldn't you get an Premium Vodka ?

On the first night I asked for a martini on the classic package and was told none was available. When I ordered a "classic" martini it was made with Grey Goose vodka and I was charged $3.54.

  7. Just off Silhouette yesterday and "pay the difference" was in effect. I loved it as I enjoy a martini before dinner and $3.54 was cheaper than upgrading. They did move a few of my favorite vodkas to Premium but I found Tito and Stoli just fine.

  8. Is Celebrity now letting may the extra for drinks not in your package?

Beginning on this cruise I was only charged the difference over the $9 classic package cap. At the Martini Bar my classic martini was only $3.54. I was told this by the bartender at World Class Bar on day 1. No other announcement was in the daily.

Returned to Jacksonville this morning and here are some quick thoughts.

Although we usually sail Celebrity some friends suggested a quick getaway on the Fascination and Jacksonville being only a two hour drive from home we agreed.

We decided to splurge and get a grand suite with an extended balcony. What a fabulous room! We thoroughly enjoyed the balcony with the exception on one afternoon when our next door neighbors and their friends sat our and smoked nonstop for hours! I tried calling guest serviced but their line was constantly busy. When I finally reached them they promised it would be taken care of ASAP and it must have been as their were no infractions after that.

That being said, evidently there were many rule breakers aboard as the corridors on floor 6 smelled strongly of smoke.

The priority embarkation was great and we were on the Lido by noon eating lunch. I found the offerings to be mediocre at best. Since I love stir fry I headed to the Mongolian Wok. The food was delicious but evidently didn't agree with me.......at all. The pizza was very good and I am fussy about pizza. DH had a Panini almost daily and pronounced it great!

We purchased the Cheers package and enjoyed the ease of using it worry free. Unfortunately we didn't come near to the daily maximum or should I say fortunately?

Our room steward, Anna, and her assistant Royce took excellent care of us throughout the cruise. She said they serviced 25 rooms. Wow!

Something I'd like to mention here is that this ship is COLD!!! Bring along a sweatshirt or sweater for the dining room but all areas are extremely cool especially staterooms. I asked for an extra blanket and it was perfect. Another thing to note is that suites have tubs with sides of about 24 inches and it made it difficult for me to exit and enter the shower/tub.

We enjoyed any time dining and the service was the best ever! I have never seen a happier and more pleasant crew. I loved being thanked by name by all servers and bartenders as well as our cabin crew.

Although I didn't love the MDR meals I found enough to eat where I surely didn't starve. I thought tables were awfully close together and we were constantly being jostled by others being seated. Fixed dining would not have experienced that problem

I really enjoyed the dancing and singing in the MDR which surprised me as I had thought it would be intrusive when I first heard about it.

Debarkation was a breeze. We did self assist and were on the road by 9:00 and home by 11:00. I would not hesitate to sail Carnival again.

  10. We always book deck 8 on both the Oasis and Allure but the other end down by Dazzles.

Love the easy walk to get a morning cup of Joe.

I could have booked a cabin there but was afraid of noise from the club. Think I made a good decision.

  11. When are you sailing, deck plans are changing.

Looking to book the 2/1/15 cruise. Will be getting off Celebrity Eclipse in Miami that day and driving up to Port Everglades to board Allure. I did a dummy booking and all they show me are balconies on deck 7 or 8. I guess the selection is limited because the new rule about 2 people booking a cabin that holds 3 or 4 won't be allowed.

Do you think something towards aft on deck 8 would be quiet?

  12. After reading many recent reviews we are ready to book Allure. My TA is currently offering a sweet deal ending soon with even more perks when booking a balcony.

I am looking at the deck plans and am confused by all the different balcony catagories. We prefer something near elevators with passenger cabins above and below. We don't care if the view is somewhat obstructed and don't mind a bit of a walk.

Thank you for any advice you can offer.

  13. First time cruising Celebrity. On Summit for Southern Caribbean this spring. I have a hold on an aft corner FV on deck 8 but also noticed an available concierge cabin aft, deck 9. Wondering if those of you with more experience with Celebrity have an opinion of which would be a better room.

Go for Family Veranda. It is a much larger room. Also deck 8 is a better choice as deck 9 is directly below the Sunset Bar.

  14. I rarely get seasick, but on our Hawaii cruise from BC with 5 days on the Pacific I decided "Better Safe Than Sorry." Our ship was docked in Honolulu for the last day and night and I removed the patch only to be awakened at 3:00am with violent vomiting. It wasn't Noro as there was only the one symptom. My husband virtually carried me to the infirmary in the morning and the nurse gave me a shot to quell my distress. It worked but I was left virtually comatose during our sightseeing tour after disembarking!
