  1. Dido Fla Mike; DW and I had the same experience today. A huge thanks to the folks at Walgreens in Port Orange for their quick, easy and efficient testing procedures.

    10:45am tests completed; 11:50am two negative test results. Nothing but a short drive to PC Thursday morning and finally back to cruising!

    See ya on board!

  2. Our PVP never misses a chance to follow up with a phone callafter I’ve been lurking around on Carnival’s site.

    I agree with others here, the PVP has offered options on available rooms, however they have never offered lower rates than what can be found on the website. In fact, on one of our earlier cruises with Carnival, the PVPhad trouble finding the rate I had found, offering much more expensive rooms.Makes me think there compensation is related to the amount of the sale??:o

  3. Looking forward to your review of the Victory. Our cruise isn't until November, but really that's just around the corner.

    We used SAS after our last cruise out of Miami. Quick and very reasonable cost. Will be using SAS again after the Victory in November. Flights out of FLL much less than Miami.

    Thanks for taking the time to review your cruise.

  4. ccleveland;

    I live just south of Jax. I'm at the cruise terminal area several times a week for work.

    A new parking facility opened a few months ago, it's just across the street from the cruise terminal. Started out slow, but usage has increase dramatically since. Cost is $7/day; 1/2 the amount charged by the port. Shuttles are provided to take you to the terminal.

    If you need more info, let me know. I'll be happy to stop by and get info, post it here for you and all to use.

    I agree with Angela61280 regarding hotels/restaurants; check out locations at or near St. Johns Town Center. Lots of options and a quick 15 to 20 minute drive on 295 east beltway to the cruise terminal.

    Good luck!

  5. For now, I’m looking at the bright side of things; in short time and with a little luck, I’ll board the ship, turn off all of those amazing electronic devices and escape from the daily “what-if’s” the not so amazing press offer up each day. It remains true; no one is getting out of here alive! Turn off the TV and computer and enjoy life while you can………….. ;)

  6. You may want to try room service; never any crowds :D. It’s our go to most days. We have our choice of food and beverage in our room by 6:00am. In past cruises, they have done their very best to meet our requests. Don’t forget to tip those who bring your order. A couple of bucks seem to bring out the smiles. Enjoy your cruise!!

  7. Thank you for the review :)

    We are the Dream this weekend; so glad to hear the piano bar and DJ have a pulse!! Our last cruise on the Fascination left us very disappointed with the whole “DJ” style of entertainment. It felt kind of “thug life’ish” ……………………… and I forgot my baseball cap with stickers still on it!

    Piano bar sounds like fun. Something like Irish Kevin’s in Key West. Had some great times there.
