  1. After 14 cruises in the last 8 years the only shows we really enjoyed were on the Dream, which I imagine are gone now that they did the 2.0 upgrades in drydock. The comedy shows have been the best part of the entertainment offerings. The DJ's should all be thrown overboard for the lousy music played outside the dance clubs, keep that stuff for the disco people.

  2. In the last 3 years we have done 1 13 day, 1 14 day and 2 15 day cruises on Carnival. None were B2B. Each one had very few kids and the entertainment and menus were different for each day with no repeats. We are in the middle of a 15 day Hawaiian cruise right now, and loving every second! You should expect an older crowd.

  3. I would pick the Dream, we did 2 7 days B2B on her a year ago and loved it. They have the best shows and some great lounge acts. The crew is typical Carnival, awesome across the board. The Dream also has some interesting food choices including free Italian at lunch upstairs and a Tandori Grill.

  4. I just came across this thread and had to comment. We were also on the Glacier Point Wilderness Safari excursion! We are in the picture of the first canoe leaving, it was myself, my wife and her 2 sisters. The whole trip was spectacular and this was by far the best excursion we took. Great pics!

  5. We are on the Legend at the moment and booked 3 additional cruises on board without any issues. I printed out all the information beforehand for the FCS and she looked it over to make sure I had everything she needed and told me she would have the paperwork in my cabin the next morning. Everything was done perfectly!

  6. We did the 15 day Hawaiian cruise 2 years ago and it was very different from a typical 4 day Caribbean cruise. They have a great naturalist that comes on-board to give talks about the animals and natural habitat in the islands. The menus in the MDR will be different also, and the general activities will not be centered around drinking 24/7. The crowd is older, we are in our early 50's and felt like kids! :)

  7. We did Key West and the Bahamas the first week and then Cozumel, Roatan and Costa Maya the second week. We love Key West but we just stayed on the ship in Freeport and Nassau. We liked the second week, we wanted to avoid Belize since it is a tender port. I thought the decor was a bit muted from the of the more outrageous ships, like the Miracle. We were on the Valor about 5 years ago but I don't really remember it in comparison to the Dream. We did think the MDR on the Dream was the nicest one we have been in. Open and bright.

  8. We recently returned from a B2B on the Dream and we thought it was the best ship of the 7 different Carnival ships we have been on. It had the most variety of food options and even though there were over 4000 passengers, it never felt crowded. Granted we are not sit by the main pool people, but even that area seemed to have a lot of seating, except the night of the Super Bowl, but that was to be expected! We always were able to find things to do on sea days, we like the trivia games and in the evenings we loved watching the Blackjack Band!

  9. We have done 10 cruises in the last 6 years and have 2 more booked for the next year. Being on a cruise is the most relaxing way to travel, no driving, cleaning, or cooking! Some people live to complain, anyone that says they couldn't find anything to eat on a cruise has major issues with life. If something isn't good, ask for something else!

  10. We just got off a B2B on the Dream and had a great time with all the musical choices. The Blackjack Band was the best part, they played almost every night in the Ocean Plaza. Dancing In The Streets was the best show, we went to see it both weeks. There is also Rhythm Nation, they are the main live band for the big shows. They play in the Ocean Plaza also when they don't have shows at night.
