We are currently on the Celebrity Eclipse and just found out our penguin excursion tomorrow in Puerto Arenas has been cancelled.
We we are currently booked to do the dolphin/seal trip in Puerto Madryn. Has anyone done both that and the penguin rookery tour and if so which do you recommend? Should we stick with our current plans or swap to the penguin rookery? Seeing penguins in the wild was going to be the highlight of this cruise for me but the long bus journey there and back does not appeal.
Feeling very frustrated just now

For those of you who have done the excursions at Puerto Madryn how did you find the roads? Were they very bumpy? I have got a back condition which gets aggravated by driving on rough terrain but really want to see the penguins.

Do you happen to have an email address for them? I sent them an email a few days ago and still not had a reply.
many thanks

We used Stamps tours for vineyard & Andes tours but they are very flexible...they are very good at getting back to youSent from my iPad using Forums

We were really looking forward to visiting St Croix in December but yesterday were advised by Celebrity that they have switched the St Croix stop for St Thomas

We are on the Celebrity Summit on the 30th December and have just been notified of our 3rd port change - St Croix. We are now stopping at St Thomas instead. We've nothing against St Thomas but the whole reason we booked the cruise was to visit the Cruzan Rum factory on St Croix :(

Does anybody know how badly the Cruzan Rum Factory has been hit? We will be there at the end of December and trying to decide whether to book a ship tour to somewhere else (Celebrity don't seem to organise Cruzan tours) or try and arrange a visit ourselves.
We were also wondering if they will have a donation centre for people who want to bring essential goods to the islanders. After the earthquake in Haiti a few years back our hotel in Punta Cana was a collection point for donations of school equipment and childrens clothing.

Thank you both for your helpful comments - we will stick with our normal smart semi formal
evening clothes

We will be on the Celebrity Summit on NYE this year and were wondering if the dress code is more formal that night. Anybody know?

Puerto Madryn penguins or dolphins/seals
in South America

It was booked through Celebrity and was a ferry ride to and from the island with an hour on the island with the penguins. Apparently it was cancelled because of operational reasons. When pushed we were told the particular ferry we were booked on had a technical issue. It was only cancelled the afternoon before we docked.
