According to his fb feed, it will be Eric Nezick and then Chloe Loddo will take over - not sure what date that is expected to happen though...

Has anyone heard anything about the Magic getting Fun Ship 2.0? I think a two week dry-dock should be enough time to implement this.
I hope the Magic gets the 2.0 upgrades and (hopefully) Ji Ji. Ji Ji Asian Kitchen is only on the Sunshine and Vista but I loved it and I haven't heard of any poor reviews about it either. The Magic has enough space to include it...

My uncle booked a guarantee inside cabin for our cruise next week. He found out last week which was around 2 weeks out...

I am very OCD so I usually pack 2 weeks out!
Around the one week mark, I usually:
-print out my boarding pass and luggage tag,
-purchase my water and bottle of wine to bring on board,
-notify my bank that I will be out of the country so they don't put a hold on my cards,
-double and triple check my packing list and make my last minute purchases (if any)
-get caught up on any cleaning and/or laundry
-make sure my dvr will have enough free space on it for all of my shows :D
- Try to relax and not obsess over my upcoming cruise so I can function like a normal human being :p

Just checked on goccl dot com... here's what it states:
Deck 5 Lanai (midship, aft and forward, port side)
Deck 11 (midship and aft, starboard side)
I'm guessing they will have signs posted to let her know the exact designated areas...
Hope this helps :)

Yay! Hopefully it stays that way... I sail on her in 9 days!!! :D

For their email address, use the 2 letter code for your specific ship and add maitre@carnival.com to it. So like when I needed to request seating for my Sunshine cruise, I sent my request to SHmaitred@carnival.com. Make sure to include the names in your party, number of people in your party, booking numbers for each guest, seating time and any preferences you might have. On another forum, they said not to worry if you don't get a response or confirmation.
Hope this helps :D

Yeah, I would just call Carnival and have all the booking numbers linked for dinning. If you have a preference on which dining room you are seated in, then that's where the email address comes in handy. I was told to email them 2 weeks out from your sail date.

I don't hand my luggage off to the porters so I would have to go with 'everything' as my answer. I don't mind toting around my luggage for a little bit. I feel more comfortable knowing I have everything with me.

Hi Rock :)
We use this type, photo below..
It fits in my camera bag that I place in my carry-on bag.
Have a terrific day!:)
That's the same one I use and I've never had any problems and no one has ever said anything to me about it. I usually pack it in my carry-on

Hello, I just wanted to know if anyone recently sailed this itinerary. I was curious as to what nights are the "formal (elegant)l". I want make reservations in the steakhouse but don't want to miss these other nights in the MDR.
Thank you
Formal nights are usually day 2 and 6
Sunday and Thursday

For my typical planned cruises, I usually use this order:
1. Port
2. Ship
3. Itinerary
I live an hr away from Pt. Canaveral and it's not much further of a drive if I were to choose Port Tampa, but Pt. Canaveral has more of a choice for ships so it usually gets my vote :)
Driving down to Port Lauderdale or Miami is fun on the way down, but I'm not a fan of driving 3+ hrs after the cruise just to get home.

Thank you for all the responses :)
I went back to their website and saw 2 different email addresses. I must have sent the request to the wrong one.
I will go ahead and resend the email...

Hello all :) My Carnival sailing is in May and I already sent Cavetubing.bz an email requesting 5 spots on their cave tubing excursion. I did this 2 weeks ago.
How long does it usually take for them to respond to an email? I haven't received a response from them confirming my booking.
Do they normally wait till it gets closer to the sail date or should I just try again in a few weeks?
I know I am probably just being super anal but I just want to make sure our plans don't fall through b/c I did something wrong.
Thank you in advance :)

I've booked an OV on deck 5 - Sunshine for an upcoming cruise and from the reviews I've read, no one has complained about noise from above, below, or from Ocean Plaza.

I bring Tide in the individual pouches. Packs easily. Enjoy your cruise.
^^^ I do the same thing. Super easy to pack. Each pouch=1 Load

On my very first cruise, we chose early seating. We ended up going only once b/c we were always in the middle of something when it was time to get ready to dinner.
For the rest of my cruises, [w/ the exception of Norwegian] I always choose late seating. I prefer to eat late since that lines up with my eating preferences at home. I rarely eat dinner before 8 o'clock anyways.
I've never had trouble getting great seats at any of the comedy shows and I don't do the big production shows [i don't really care for them].
I like not having to rush back from port to shower and get ready for dinner. Late seating gives me plenty of time to do what I want w/o feeling hurried. My time dining was cool and we lucked out by getting the same dinner crew each time we asked for them, but I guess I like structure and having a set time to follow. :)

I've never purchased cruise insurance and [thank goodness] I've never needed to.
-
This is just so they can stagger the guests coming on board so the lines won't be too ridiculous... I always get the same call, I always ignore it and go early, and I've never been turned away... As long as you're there after 10:30, 11 o'clock, you should be fine :)

According to Carnival, your cabin does have a mini fridge :)
I'm pretty sure all cabins in the Conquest class [Conquest, Freedom, Glory, Liberty, Valor] have a mini fridge in them...

Middle Riviera has my vote!
My mother had an aft deck 2 cabin before and there were too many noises early in the morning when the ship was setting up in port.
I've stayed in a mid OV on the Riviera deck and I wouldn't hesitate to do it again :)

People are more inclined to post complaints than they are to sing praises... I've booked one Carnival cruise this year and looking to book a second one soon. I always approach each cruise with a clean slate. Haven't had a bad experience yet. Don't be worried. Enjoy your cruise! :)

I always pack a 24oz Tervis Tumbler... So convenient :)
