  1. My reasons for switching to Thomson are similar to yours. Last year I wanted to use up holiday over Christmas. Being a Solo traveller P&O seem to charge you for 2 people (sorry I don't know the exact prices). I went on the Cuba Fusions and Mexico. Places I had not been with P&O. Thomson Ships are a little smaller and can get into the smaller ports. I was on the Dream, which is a bit of an old ship and was really disappointed when I got on the ship. Soon changed my mind when I met the staff and passengers. All very nice. I've been to all of the places on this years cruise, but the ship is a better spec. Price wise between P&O and Thomson is massive for a solo traveller over Christmas. (PS.... Bequia is Fab, I hope you love it too)

Hi....really interested to hear this. I've travelled to Caribbean with P&O for the last 5 years as a solo traveller. Ports are getting a little stale, so thinking of trying Thomson next year. Sounds like it's all positives......anything that you prefer with P&O that's missing with Thomson? Tough decision for me especially as I've built up a whole crowd of friends on P&O, many of whom travel to Caribbean each year.

  2. Great news on the upgrade - I had the same 2 years ago! The outside cabins are tiny, much smaller than the inside single cabins, but much quieter too.

Have a fantastic trip! Just 4 weeks till I head to the Caribbean too...first time on Britannia :)

  3. Hi everyone....I've been looking for a roll call for this cruise, but haven't spotted one yet! Will set one up now, if you want to wander over.

Hammers - once the roll call is set up, I'm sure there will be plenty of folks who can recommend tours etc. I head to the beach most days, so can't help much with the tours.
