  1. Did they have a laundry bag special, and what was the price? I'm headed for a 12 day so may need to do some

There was a special, I think it was $25. That is for one bag of laundry. Since it is a 12 day you might have a lot of clothes. There are a few tricks to get more clothes in the bag.

    1. put one bag in another, makes the bag stronger

    2. use duct tape to line the seams of the bag

    3. bring a garbage bag from home and use it to line the paper bag.

    4. Roll your clothes before putting in the bag.

using these hints you can get a lot of clothes in the bag :)

  2. Asking for a friend who will be sailing on the Breakaway later this month and is new to cruising.

Do you get wifi on the ship? Yes

Is it free or do you have to pay for it? Yes

    Thx much.

There are some packages, but don't remember what they were. I do know unlimited was $29 a day for the cruise.

Also there was just a great live posting with tons of info

  3. HI, I was on the cruise also :) I hope I can jump in.

I don't think you can use the dinning plan in Ocean Blue. Try to check that out. O'sheans does not seem to have themed dinner nights anymore.

The shampoo they provided stripped my hair color out last time !!!! so ladies bring your own. There is a bar of soap by the sink, and body wash in the shower.

We saw Burn the Floor (Dancing) - and LOVED it. We saw Rock of Ages and really liked it a lot. Alvin was great, I don't care for Dan Dan.

I did a review on cabin 10848 Balcony if you want to see pictures.

  5. Thanks Charlie...which lounge, where is it and what time

Everyone who is solo on this cruise, you are welcome to the solo lounge get together every night. If you are in the solo cabins, it is right there. If not, I think 10 th deck forward elevators. Check the dailies for the time, maybe 5:30 pm or 6 pm. First night is earlier than the rest. It is a great place to meet up and make plans for dinner if you don't like eating alone, and making new friends. They make plans to go to the ice bar together etc. If you are not in the solo cabins and have trouble finding the entrance don't give up ! walk around and knock on doors. If you are in the solo cabins, they have the BEST coffee machine and a little breakfast set out and snacks during the day.

  6. Ship - Gem

    Deck - 9

    Stateroom # - 9672 Disabled

    Stateroom Category – Haven Penthouse

Starboard or Port Side - Aft

Quiet Stateroom? (With comments on problems) – No, we thought being on the Aft was very noisy from engines and water.

    Was stateroom a connecting stateroom? - ?

Balcony View - Give comments on view, noting if location of any obstructions was an issue. – open aft view

Balcony Size? Normal or oversized for class? - VERY small, you almost had to sit sidewasy

    Was wind a problem? -

If an aft cabin, was soot a problem? - no

Any specific problems with this cabin? -

Any other comments? - We would never book and aft cabin again. Some people love them, we did not. We had been IN the Haven before, there is a BIG difference between a suite and a haven suite.

  7. I have searched and can not find my answer. I sail on the Summit tomorrow. I do not wish to eat in the Buffet. Is it possible to each at the Bistro on 5 for an up charge on embarkation day ?

I know this is a Last minute Lucy question :)

  8. Sadly to say, I think one of my least favorite CDs would be Sin as he came off as a really boring guy that tells jokes once in a while.

Do you mean Sinan, from Turkey? He was my favorite. "You are my Sunshine" I know now there is a ton of office work the CD must do, so they don't have as much time to 'meet and greet' as they use to have.

  9. If you are looking at purchasing a wheelchair, be certain to get one with large rear wheels. The Blue Streak one on Amazon for $116 holds up to 250 lbs and has the large self propel wheels.

I bought this chair a few weeks ago and took it for a spin at the Mall. So far I like it very much. I will be in Disney in 2 weeks and let you know how it works. It cost the same as a week's rental, so we figure if we use it twice, we are ahead of time. I will push myself part time and my hubby will push part time.

  10. forgive me, I did not read everything; but I was looking into renting a manual wheel chair for a cruise, and then again from my trip to Disney later this year. I can buy a chair for $115 on line from Target, which is cheaper than renting for the cruise. Then I have the chair when I get to the port, hubby can push me. When we go to Disney, Hubby can push me through the airport, and the chair flys for free. If I feel good, I can use my cane, If I feel iffy, I can use the wheel chair as a walker and in port my husband will push me.
