Thanks.  Just trying to find one we can afford.  My dream one is the Moscow to St Petersburg cruise.

I'm interested in taking a river cruise.  Done 3 ocean cruises and on the last one we felt like we really weren't getting the local flavor we wanted.

But the river cruises are so expensive!  I'm curious about people's experiences with the various river cruise lines.  

We did a mediterranean cruise on Pacifica this past spring and there was no lobster or escargot. They might have served it in Samsara or one of the other specialty restaurants, but not MDR.

I suspect the caribbean itineraries have different food.

Gelato! And we ordered gelato every night with dessert.

The risotto was always good. Scorpion fish was always good.

Honestly it got to be a bit too much with appetizer, pasta, main course and dessert every night.

Rio Brewster asked if one can visit inside the Dome of the Rock, not the Temple Mount. Note that only Muslims are allowed inside the Dome of the Rock.

Thanks. I did go inside last time I was in Jerusalem, but that was 20ish years ago. It's actually nicer on the outside.

I've read sample itineraries from many different tours and none of them mention going to this landmark. Is it because most focus on Jewish and Christian sites? (Although I understand the site is significant to all three religions.)

Is there some restriction?
