I didn't know that Oceania did the Antarctica "drive by" itineraries.

What is the date of this cruise?

    Thanks.

i believe the cruise (lima to buenos aires) leaves on feb 14, 2021.

  2. following along with this thread and i have a question - does anyone have an opinion on doing this cruise on oceania (marina in 2021).  we have cruised on celebrity, holland america, and princess(many years ago).  are holland america and/or princess especially known for this particular s.a. cruise.  my husband and i are retired, 74 and 65 respectively and active.  so far we are leaning toward the oceania cruise - a new line for us and they offer an attractive pre cruise trip to machu picchu.  i would love to hear any opinions and comparisons between doing this cruise with either holland america, princess, or oceania.

  3. we sailed on the eclipse recently in cabin 1635.  before leaving i read a thread about terrible vibrations in that cabin and tried to change.  the boat was full and it was not possible.  well, it turned out just fine.  there were vibrations, but they were not that bad, and not constant.  certainly never kept us awake at night as they did the people who originally posted about it.  just goes to show that what bothers some terribly is barely on the radar of others.  we did notice vibrations in random places all over the boat.  we always had a drink at the martini bar before dinner and sometimes it vibrated and sometimes it did not.   my point is that even if you change cabins you might not escape these vibrations and that unless you are very sensitive to things like that it probably won't bother you.

  4. we cruised on the koeningsdam about two years ago. the ship is beautiful - if you like the s class product on celebrity, you will like it. we found the food to be a bit better than celebrity. bb king's was very good - lots of dancing and great music - much better than anything on celebrity. dueling pianos were good fun. lincoln center classical was always a little early for us. specialty restaurants priced better than celebrity. the buffet was much better also. the only thiing that we didn't like was that the population was a bit old for us. lots of scooters. but here's the thing - we are not that young - mid 60's for me and early 70's for my husband, but i guess we are just livelier and enjoy the celebrity crowd more because of it.

  5. my husband and i are leaving on a cruise out of barcelona on september 23 on the eclipse. we are in cabin #1635 also. after reading this thread i contacted my travel agent asking to be moved to another cabin. a day and a half later they sent me a list of available cabins. i immediately selected one and emailed them bu by then they had all been sold and now the travel agent is seeing what else can be done. any suggestions of what i can do to be proactive about this situation would be appreciated.
