Hi first princess cruise booking this for the Jan 7 sailing. We always book a balcony but wondered which side for the views. Have only done eastern Caribbean so this is a first all round for us. Thanks for your help in advance. Getting very excited even with our low dollar but not missing my January cruise lol.

We booked in Canadian dollars thru carnival was 31 on the dollar back in june

Like you it hurts. We always book in CND thru carnival on our Canadian mastercard. We do have a U.S account and U.S mastercard but don't want to use up my US cash that we bought at par 3 yrs ago. That's for all the extras that can't be paid for before cruises. This yr got our Airfare cheap flying Ottawa to Miami day before then next day flying to San Juan for cruise and flying home from New Orleans three days after for $504 each Canadian funds, we can't fly out west to visit our daughter for this amount lol Hotel in Miami 70 Canadian (sister works for choice) prepaid and three 3 nights in New Orleans $237 Canadian funds prepaid. Miami rental car $34 for the time we are in Miami. Our cruise is Dream Journey 10 day was $1697.16 balcony prepaid grats and taxes all in when converted to Canadian paid 2223.28 with the $100 US OBC. I was hoping they would run a special for Canadians so I could book for next January but will have to see.

Girl I know you're hurting but your father gave the strength and courage to be who you are . You have something a lot of children wish the had TIME SPENT with him which is priceless. We all get busy with life and always mean to but something comes up and parents understand but you can't turn back the clock. Please try to remember that he was very proud of you and that you can stand on your own two feet . This is every parents wish for their children he succeeded with you he did his job very well. So girl continue to do so you already have by going on your first cruise and you honoured him by remembering all the fun times even though it tore at your heart he was with you all the way. Wow you are an amazing daughter and I am sending you a big hug and lots of love your way. You will be ok , you will see your his daughter and he make you who are today be proud

We booked in cad with Es got price protection with our carnival PVP was 33% exchange. Yes a hassle with price drops have to call no form to use only got $48 drop this time lol

Hi we are Canadians who cruise during January cold winter month here.

Looking to book a cruise and two week visit after or before. We normal cruise carnival but want to know more about which cruise itinerary you recommend. Would like a 7 day or higher cruise. Not at all familiar with you countries and the ports. This gonna be another off our bucket list. We are in our mid fifties active (for now lol) more of a do it yourself type couple not big on booking things to do at every port. Can't wait to visit this region of the world. Will be coming for 4 weeks so a cruise and time to enjoy what you have down under.

DH and i have cruised 4X 3 carnival 1 holland go every yr in jan. This past Jan did the partial canal on holland. Wow found it very quiet nothing to do on sea days only 1 comedy night BBKing show OK. Mostly computer classes and cooking demos not our cup of tea but food choices in mdr none really so ate off the lido deck first for us. Went to Steak house, Carnival has spoiled us was free (promo w/drink pkg too) no where near as good few choices.Mostly an older crowd but i have to say as with any cruise Staff was amazing. Planning a family cruise with our children in Feb/16 they are in their late 20s with fiances and so looking at RCI so will be booking the Allure Oasis wanted them to have stuff to do. I think the options on these ships will be amazing (flowrider rockwall ect) since they are very active outdoor bunch. So THANKYOU so much for this thread.

So as I have read this correctly no real price protection on Norwegian. Looking to book POA for Hawaii 2016 for six of us. So if the price drops we have to cancel lose deposit and rebook for any pricedrops Yes I have read the faqs and this is what it says so now I am nervous to book so far out. Thankyou for this info I really appreciated this thread. My dates in January are flexable to feb so I will continue to watch this cruise.

We did the 11 day panama on the Zuiderdam Jan 2-12 Totally agree with you. We have 3 Carnival cruises the previous 3ys but wanted to do the canal. We are not party people but do go to shows,trivia and other activities when onboard. Not this time nothing to do around the pool or ship unless you want a cooking lesson,computer class,wine paring and of course art & shopping wow. We have never spent so much time lying around our room or at the aft bar pool (not big drinkers either) Comedy ONE night and it was the first time we have every snuck out of a show ever after 20 mins in and he grab a guitar not a laugh out of us so sad. The food was good not a lot of choice in mdr so ate a lot at buffet and the staff amazing since we really did got to know them. Steakhouse was no where near Carnivals not bad but not great. The big show was so packed to get in every night only thing that changed every night was the year of music. We will not be back to Holland unless its a port intensive cruise we really want to see the ports. Oh ya dancing with the stars cruisiers actually bring their own costumes to try and win WTH really not for us . dh is 54 and I am 53. Trivia was once a day in evening but if you are in team trivia its once a day too miss the first two days so no team for us. CD never seen him except on tv in the morning pretaped funny when port canceled and he is telling us all about arrival and when to be back on ship haha. The ship was clean and the staff was amazing actually came home with money for our next cruise lol

I am new to HAL first cruise coming up in Jan/15. Thanks for this review I have been debating longer cruises too. Hubby and I love to cruise see different parts of the world so really enjoyed your review. Thank you keep them coming please.

Sadly, that may very we'll be true....however, I know 20 people who will be rethinking cruising as their vacations and I am just one person.

We have two cruises in Jan on balconies booked because we like to sit out at 6am with room service coffee ,smoke watching the sun come up. We pay extra for the balcony for smoking privilges only so like you we will be rethinking our decision. We have always used our balcony respectfully to our neighbors. So can pay less to to go to all inclusive resorts for half the price of an balcony. Love carnival and have only cruised with them.(only three cruises was doing two back to back in Jan our first time doing this but like you just told hubby and ya we will be rethinking our plans:(:eek:

Not for a while, we recently sold our house and purchased one in Ottawa. We'll be moving next week. Lots and lots to do. Tracy will be keeping me busy for a while, she has a lot of great ideas including a stone patio as soon as soon as we get there. :)

I am so sorry for your loss. I too know the nightmare you are living right now and praying to wake up from it. Please know that you are not walking alone this is your loss so please talk to each other and promise each other that no matter what you are in this together there will be Kevin days and yes you can cry yourself dry. Everyone grieves differently THERE IS NO RIGHT WAY just your way. His friends will have amazing stories to tell because a young mans life is not about mom and dad these last few yrs haha. As you struggle with the whys???,if only please know this will only play with your mind and not bring him back so celebrate your amazing sons amazing life and love of you and your family because he was so full of life because he had amazing loving family. Now that's amazing. I have enclosed a poem that was written for my son who also died in a car accident by a Lady who I had never met but was a friend of my friend. My Child

I was there on the day your child was born. You cradled him in your arms and held him close to your heart. The bond of love between you was nothing short of a miracle…my gift to you…you looked down into his beautiful eyes and in your heart you thanked me for your precious gift. Although you could not see me, I held you both in my arms in that moment…..

You shared laughter and joy and sadness and love. The sun shone, the birds sang and the butterflies broke free of their warmth and flew amidst a gentle breeze…. and time passed. He ran and played and fell to his knees, and got up again with your loving arms to lift him. You lived in those precious moments; you felt each footprint as they walked into you heart and on toward life.

You were a gift to each other and in the moments when you were apart, you held him in your memory. He was as real to you there as if he were beside you…. so real because he was born to you! And he filled your soul with love that would remain with you for eternity.

And then the moment came when you life stood still…you cried out from the depths of your soul. You could not hear me tell that I held him. You could not hear me tell that I was there in that moment; that I was there to cradle him in my arms and hold him close for you.

You could not hear me tell you that just as I held you both when he was born… I again held you both in that moment when life stood still! That although you may not have been there with him… In that moment I held you both together in my arms!!!
