Hi everyone,
Heading off to the Carribean in a few days. I know this question has been asked before but never answered.
Any recommendations of where to buy some genuine Blue Mountain Coffee in Falmouth.
We plan on walking carefully into the “downtown” after spending some time with the merchants around the port.
Many thanks in advance.

I was wanting to ask the same question. We visit Falmouth in a couple of weeks. It’s always a bit questionable buying Blue Mountain coffee but it tastes so good if you can buy the real beans.

We set sail on Jan 24 for a month. Just wondering who is tickling the ivories in Billboard Onboard.

Thanks everyone
My phone and my paperwork will be in hand. Both show 4 star. Flying to San Diego tomorrow for a walk through the Italian District and a great dinner before embarking Sunday

Quick question. We are boarding the Noordam in San Diego on Sunday. As for star Mariners I thought we could board anytime. We keep getting reminded to board at 2,20. I’m confused

None of the HAL ships have Piano Bars anymore. Most of them have something called Billboard Onboard, which is two pianos with two musicians; it's a duel piano set-up, but not dueling pianos.
The musicians may or may not have ever played together before, and you can tell when they are not familiar with each other.
The couple of ships that don't have Billboard Onboard have The Mix, which is more like a piano lounge. There is the one piano and musician, but it is still a set, pre-planned presentation. Not at all spontaneous, like the old Piano Bars were. Many thanks, so who is playing in Billboard Onboard on the Noordam right now? We board on the 8th of October in San Diego

Hi everyone,
Just wondering what is happening with entertainment? We get on the Noordam in San Diego on October 8 heading for Hawaii. Is there a Piano Bar? and if so who is tickling the ivories? Thx

Thanks everyone, I am covering all bases and have a couple of magnetic hooks and also something with a sticky back to put on the door. Heading to FLL on Monday. We leave on the Rotterdam on Wednesday and transfer to Statendam in March. Woohoo!!

Hi everyone,
Just wondering if anyone knows if a magnetic door hook will stick to the outside of a cabin door on HAL.
Heading off on Nieuw Statendam next week
Thanks

We are heading to the Carribean in a couple of weeks and I hope someone can help me with a question about Amber Cove.
I understand it is a “private moorage” with a hotel and shopping and swimming and eating. All that sounds good.
BUT, I am thinking it would be nice to go Puerto Plato , hope my spelling is correct, and do a walkabout and see the sights.
All I can find out is that there is a short taxi ride into town and that the cost is quite high. $70 each way.
Does anyone know if there is a bus or cheaper way to get to town.
Many thanks

Just packing for our Southern/Eastern cruise on the Nieuw Statendam.
When I looked at the spa info on the web-site they showed you can purchase a pass for the length of the cruise, but…..never mentioned if you could just purchase a day pass. Not sure if I would want to go for a steam every day to get my $$$ worth out of a pass.
Does anyone know?
Thanks, so looking forward to cruising again!!!!!!

Thanks everyone,
We are thinking of the repositioning cruise from Vancouver to Fort Lauderdale in October and just wondering what to expect. Just going to have to go with the flow as far as entertainment. The Piano bar used to be our go to spot at the end of every night. Immediately Pre-covid we cruised with Jamm and used to sing Broadway musicals, lots of fun.
It will be nice to get back on the ocean.

Hi everyone,
Thinking of cruising again this fall and just trying to get a handle on the different ships and entertainment options. Do any of our beloved DAM ships still have Piano Bar entertainers or Ocean Bar trios. I so miss Barry from Boston or Jamm.
Thx

Question time
What do you have for entertainment on the Voyage?
Piano Bar? Dueling Pianos? Shows with singers and dancers?
Ocean Bar?
I miss the old school entertainment with the Ocean Bar then late night in the Piano Bar and the odd production show. Perfect endings to a day.

Thanks for the blog, some great info on here.
The VOV is one of my favorite cruises and I love Amsterdam. Many Dutch folks say that Rotterdam is nicer, LOL.
We sailed with Glenn Michael pre covid and he is a very special host.
Cheers

Totally agree with you, we were also on the Zaandam and always closed the evening at the Piano Bar with Jamm. The singers and dancers were great. The guest entertainment was excellent. We really enjoyed Akos Laki, Iris Kroes, Gaston Quieto, the Flyrights, Mario d’Andrea and the guitar duo, Duo Sigueiro Lima were all fantastic. The second to last night in the Piano Bar where we had a Sound of Music sing along was a hoot! We are getting on the Oosterdam tomorrow heading to San Diego should be an interesting contrast. Evidently they have a duelling piano bar along with a rock room and the BBKings.

Great info on your cruise...Loved it!!
Can you tell me who was the piano bar entertainer?
We are on the Oosterdam soon.
Thx

Hi everyone, Happy New Year!!!!
Just wondering if anyone can tell me who the Piano Bar entertainers are. Just heading off to Santiago to our first leg of Antarctica adventures

There are lots of things to do, right in Ketchikan. I agree with everything said in this discussion. It is very walkable and lots to do. Creek Street is a great start!

Hi everyone,
Is there someone on the Rotterdam right now to help me?
We are sailing on her at the end of July and wondered if you can tell me who is playing in the Piano Bar?
And who is playing in the Ocean Trio?
Many thanks, we love the smaller ships and those two Bars.
Happy Sailing.

Hi everyone,
Just wondering if anyone knows who will be in the Piano Bar on the Noordam for this cruise. Also who will be in the Ocean Bar. Those are my two favourite places for the evening.
Thanks,

Blue Mountain Coffee

I asked on the Jamaica site as did another Cruiser.
I am afraid the coffee in the port isn’t really authentic
so will probably pass on buying any. When we went to Costa Rica
we did a plantation tour, it was fantastic.
Thanks
