  1. I don't think they had that much trouble selling out The Miracle when it was here, but that carried about 900 less people. They thought getting a bigger, newer ship would help but I think it backfired on them. I just don't understand how NCL can base 2 ships out of NY year round, The Gem and the Breakaway, but CCL can't sell out one? Even though I do cruise NCL, I prefer Carnival,I think you get more for your money.

  2. I am curious myself. We were on the splendor this past sept and loved how ez it was going out of NYC. Being from NJ we were able to take the train and a cab. Hopefully they bring in a ship and sail at least spring-fall again. For our cruise it was sold out, so i can't see them wanting to pull out of NY for long, at least i hope not.

    Hey Bob!

How's the family!? Yeah, I was kind of upset when I heard about that :( I know they will still be sailing seasonally I just hope it goes into September. We always go on an anniversary cruise at the end of the month. If not, we will be traveling out of Baltimore.

I did think the Splendor was a beautiful ship, I just did not like the layout. I guess we just got too used to the spirit class Miracle, but either way I want a Carnival ship in NY!

  3. I have a question I was hoping someone could answer. Can you move the clamshells? I saw a picture of a whole row of them in front of the Cabanas, this is the beach I definitely want to be on since it seems quieter than the first, but I would like to be a little closer to the water than what the picture shows. I apologize if this seems a silly question but I have never used one before and this our first time at GSC. Thanks for any help!

  4. I was so excited when I first learned that Carnival was going to be trying out this program, but to be honest, I'm a little scared to try it  The last thing I want is to be cut off middle of the day because I hit my fifteen drinks and they won't let me purchase any more at regular price. I have read all the posts and I understand some people have been allowed to continue purchasing while others have not. Not to sound like a complete boozer, but I drink Rum and cokes and they are not very big, and I can down quite a few of those in a short time and still walk a straight line. Not to mention a couple of momosas with breakfast and I could hit my fifteen pretty quick! I love my Carnival Cruises but they really need to get this sorted out. Whether or not to serve above the fifteen drinks should be at the discretion of the bartender, if someone can barely keep their head then I understand not serving them, but if your quietly having a good time and enjoying your drinks I don't understand why not just keep serving them and make some more money :)
