  1. I am planning a cruise later this year on Voyager but before I book I would like your views on what the outcome of this situation would be:

I am planning to book a Family Oceanview for 5 people (us and our three kids) - but my husband is not sure if he will be able to get holiday leave from his job yet. If he could not go, I would like to take my parents (i.e. swap one adult for a different two adults).

How will this work? Should I book for 6 (incl one of my parents) now and cancel one of my parents (if my husband can go) or book for 5 and try to change it from 5 passengers to 6 later (if my husband can't come). Would there be much extra cost of adding passengers later? Would there be a time cut off for the change?

Thanks fellow CC'ers in anticipation of your help.

  2. I booked a 2br family suite on Epic in October....it was a fair bit cheaper than the same intinerary and the waterslides etc were appealing to the kids...not sure what a concierge does, but that was thrown in and a pool for suite guests...I did notice that the balcony was only just big enough for two chairs...

However the Epic cruise was cancelled in March due to extended dry dock so now we are booked on Allure with a massive balcony so I guess I won't be able to say whether the Epic was better or not...
