  1. Surprised those on the Dubai trip didn't get first refusal - think you should have had the chance to book before general sale.

I booked 2 cabins via pre-reigistration with travel agent for Christmas/New Year cruise.  I debated whether to have balcony or inside - had balcony last year, so trying inside this year.  It was  £300 more for balcony but x 4 people, that £1200 difference will go towards another cruise - I remember the balcony doors aren't that great on Oceana and whistle a bit !!!   I may even pop on QV to Hamburg for 4 nights once we are back with the £1200 difference !!  I see the balcony cabins have shot up in price by over £500 pp !!  Insides have gone up £150 from what I paid this morning.

Just happy to be booked - I had looked at Cunard cruises, QV doing similar trip and 3 or 4 times the price !

    Happy sailing everyone

  2. Very sad news for me. It's my favourite ship in the fleet. Sailed Oriana with my family 4 times before that became adult only. Sailed Aurora 3 times but no more :'):'). Sailed Ventura and Azura once each and really didn't like them. Doub't I'll ever go near Britannia. Sailed Fred Olsen last year which doesn't have a dedicated kids club but did have a club for kids during the school holidays - it worked great. Time to look more closely at other cruise lines

  3. Hello!

Just a tentative enquiry as thinking of booking an 11 night trip on 15/12/16 Southampton to new York.

We have 2 children 18yo and 13....are we likely to find similar age groups on board?

Is the age range of passengers a good mix?

    Is the disco any good?

I am aware that the inside swimming pool incurs an additional charge but is this still payable on a winter cruise when the outdoor ones are unusable?

Excited but a little worried about the unpredictable storms!

    Thankyou

We will be onboard with 18 yr old, 15 yr old and 11 yr old. we are on for 26 nights, Southampton to Southampton :) Can't wait :)

  4. We've mainly cruised P&O. P&O has gone downhill in the time we have sailed their ships 2002-2012. I do like the size and design of Aurora - didn't like Ventura and Azura as much and don't even want to go on Britannia. Overcrowded - doubled the amount of passengers but not doubled the facilities. They also seem to penny pinch more so now - no ice-cream at 11am like there used to be, some of room service is now chargeable, no fillet of beef on the menu - not even once on a 3 week cruise.

We tried HAL on Ryndham and thought it was a beautiful ship, food was more varied than P&O, entertainment was sparse, but itinerary sailing the Norwegian Fjords was fantastic.

This will be our first trip with Cunard - we are so looking forward to it. :)
