In case anyone is wondering, it is possible to change your Future Cruise Credit to the cash refund option.
I found that out because I had sent an email to Customer Service, asking about whether or not that might be an option in the future with the possible restrictions that may be in place when cruises start up again. Apparently, they took my query as a request. I got an email saying that they did it. Our FCC is gone and we got a refund for 100% of the cruise fare.
How long did it take to get reimbursed? We did the same but have only been partially reimbursed.

Believe it's always best to retain the FCD's. They are fully refundable and have OBC attached to them when used. The amounts are small and the are easy and painless to use. Interest rates don't even enter the thought process.
Hopefully, Princess will continue to have FCD’s. It is the only way we book.

Go to your Captain Circle which will show your FCC if you chose option 1.

I got one this very week. They do it all via email; no more phone calls. I emailed back to the specific person listed on the email saying I would be interested but wanted to know where the new cabin would be. She emailed me back decks but not specific cabins and I looked up available cabins on the Princess website, then replied with my top two choices and a general preference (aft and nothing above Aloha Deck). I got my first choice. It took awhile for her to get back to me -- three hours for the initial response and then overnight for the second response.
Does Princess send the email directly to you or to your TA?

Well we won't miss it at all. We went to one of them years ago and it was total chaos and mass confusion. The people act like they are dropping free cruise and OBC credit certificates. If anything we'll watch the pandemonium from afar seeing other people get drinks spilled on them and feet stepped on. Actually saw people get in a shoving match over an empty balloon.

Do you drink it black or with cream and sugar.
Since we switch from cream and sugar to black we prefer different coffee.
I normally have it black at home but on the ship I order skinny lattes with very little vanilla flavoring - and it’s tasty.

We were on the Emerald Princess in May and they had the new policy of “paying the difference” in place. It was nice to try the higher priced wines.

Thanks for your reply, we always use Princess insurance and understand an evacuation private insurance is available but I need to research.

I think Princess's insurance works for things like flu, colds, etc...
If you have anything serious happen, $10K an $20K won't go far! I buy an Allianz policy that has much better coverage as I won't leave the country with only $20K worth of coverage.
Does Allianz provide for medical evacuations? Even though I’m in good health, I am in my 70’s and concerned especially on the Transatlantics.

Without signing in, go through looking to make a new booking for your cruise (without actually making one) and you can look at what is currently available on EZAir.
Thanks, that’s what I was thinking but thought there might be another way.
-
How can you safely monitor your EZair flight without disturbing the booked flight? This is our first time using EzAir, we called to book but would like to check for any price drops.

We absolutely enjoyed the Share on the Ruby and we realize we are not in the majority but it is their loss. The service is above and beyond the Crown Grill. The portions are small but tastefully prepared. I felt it to be 5 Star.

On Princess.com, the Suite 'Stateroom Features' for every Princess ship now says "One complimentary mini-bar setup and free daily bottled water".
Can someone recently back from a full suite cruise please confirm?
I don't want to pre-order bottled water if we don't need to.
Thanks.
We just returned from a Crown Princess Cruise to the Mediterranean and I was surprised with the in room daily free bottled water.

Only if you had loaded the deal on to your card before the payment was made. If not, and you still have a balance, load the deal and make another payment, or buy some OBC if the cruise is paid in full.
What is “the deal” you are referring to and where is the information to load to card? I am a little confused as I called both AX and Princess awile back and neither were aware of this offer.

May be discussing different things here.
One is the $100 off a $500 payment to any Carnival owned brand. This offer can show up on free or fee AMEX cards and if not there, can be added with the link mentioned.
Second is a for-fee ($550/year) AMEX card that does come with on board perks such as OBC ($100 to $300) and a plate of canapes.
We paid our upcoming cruise with our AX Hilton credit card - would that qualify for the $100?

We use it as air freshener in the cabin bathroom.
We also use it in our travel bag for bathroom air freshener and on our last cruise we didn’t get one so I am glad I still have a supply on hand,

We’ve had CC on both the Island and Caribbean Princesses - wonderful experiences. Our last cruise was on the Ruby and it was terrible - we tried it twice and didn’t go back. It’s nice to have this discussion before you plunk down the extra cash. Princess ships do have their inconsistencies.

I can tell you where NOT to go! Don't remember the name, but it was next to the Total Wine on 17th near the Embassy Suites. My sis and her friend were getting a massage the day before our cruise, so I decided to head in there for a manicure while I was waiting on them. Within two days almost all of the polish peeled off. Unfortunately I was on the ship, so I couldn't go back and have it re-done.
The day before my mani, my sis and her friend had manis done at Lynn Nails on Ft Lauderdale Beach Blvd, near the Courtyard on the Beach hotel where we were staying. The mani was nothing to write home about (at least their polish held up!), but I had to leave the store because the fumes were awful! They really need a new ventilation or HVAC system in that place!
Sorry you had the problem but this is the place we always go to befor our cruises and have always been happy.

We were on the 20 day Royal Princess celebrating a birthday in the Crown Grill on the last night and were surprised to see a couple seated by us dressed very casual in shorts. The manager said that they allow shorts on both the first and last nights.

I have been wear Incoco's white cloud French tips for the past 5 years they protect your nails. You can buy them thru Amazon but first read the reviews. Mine last a minimum of 4 weeks and it takes approx 20 minutes to apply. For Pedi I use OPI Big Apple.

Can only one person per stateroom purchase the drink package or are both occupants required to do so? I only drink one or two glasses of wine and have a coffee card.
-
We had 4048 in June and thoroughly enjoyed the stateroom and its location. We were upgraded from an obstructed view, our first cruise on the Cunard and are currently booking another for next May - I hope we luck out again!

Hello folks,
Looking to book a B2B (Caribbean) in December and have not had much luck finding reviews of folks staying in the Lido Mini's. So i'm looking for some feedback from folks who have been in L204 - L210. Was noise above an issue, or too much sway while at see since it is so high up (deck 16).
Any advice is appreciated,
Dan B.
We were in L203 last December (Caribbean) and absolutely loved it. I am prone to seasickness and a light sleeper and had no problems. The proximity to pool, Horizon Court, MUTS, and Sanctuary were great. We have rebooked this deck on the Royal again this year.

A short review of the Sky Princess 12/9/23 sailing
in Princess Cruises
Posted
We were.on the Sky during that terrible weather, however we thoroughly enjoyed the food, our fantastic cabin with comfortable balcony and friendliness of the staff. The Sun is now one of our favorite Princess ships. I did happen to get sea sick and as we were staying on the 17th deck forward I brought some Bonine for the trip, it happened to be our 70th cruise and never before experienced seasickness but it took care of my problem within in a few days. Love the Sky!
