  1. Hi

it is a difficult one to give an opinion on as we are all at different age and and varying heath levels. My sister in law has a few medical conditions, which she declares on the application and although premium increases she gets cover.

if you have not already done so try a few on line insurers and if after filling in all relevant info, you are not offered cover maybe a phone call to the insurer would assist. My mother in law is way past mid eighties but very active and healthy, she struggles to get insurance parley because of her age.

    Regards

  2. That is correct Woodyren , I should have said double visa.

Yep a real process to go thru to get a Chinese visa.

We have to post ours from SA. Last time the embassy phoned us and asked if we also received back some one else's Passports.

Having said all that it is only a matter of filling out the paper work and sending / attaching copies of relevant travel info.

  3. Hi Denis

We went on the Aurora a few years ago and visited the same ports needed a multiple entry. Also went on another ship and one port in China needed a single entry BUT we got a multiple entry to make us feel better as we boarded in Hong Kong and thought if we decided to go across the border there would be handy. Also an insurance policy in case visa requirements change

Good luck with trying to get detailed info. from Chinese Embassy here or anywhere else :).

We have been to China a number of times, to be diplomatic I will just say check Chinese visa requirements right up to the last weeks before you go.

  4. Hi all

I am considering buying Carnival Shares.

Windsor 21 mentioned buying on the USA share market and won't have a problem relating to OBC.

I believe the UK share market gives the same benefits relating to OBC entitlements??

Also it was mentioned in another post brokerage was about $40,

Through Direct shares (St George) for 100 shares the fees and taxes are around $190.

    Any commentsor clarifications appreciated

    Regards

    Norm

  5. Hi All

The cruise we are booked on will have one stop in China at Shanghai.

Does a single entry visa suffice if you go ashore more than once EG on day one then again on day two?

    regards
