Just that really - we are booked in #2532 and would be interested to hear from anyone who has stayed in one.
:D

My children are 21, 18 and 12......but first sailed when they were 15, 12 & 7 (if I've got my maths right there!) We have always bough the soda package and found it good value and a treat for them with the soda machines. They had the odd burger at Johnny Rockets or the odd Ben & Jerrys but that was all. The main pain we found was the arcade machines and the draw there for money but we were fair but firm. They will make friends on day 1 in the kids club and that'll be it, you won't see them (in a nice way). Our rule was to dine together at night but the rest they had freedom and were very grateful and never abused it.

Hi
We are booked on Vision of Seas next summer and booked a 1k family ocean which says it has two sets of twin beds (that convert to king) and a bunk room - so 6 beds, 246sqft. On the current deck plan it refers to twin beds, bunks and a sofa bed at 236sqft, on the 'from 2018 deck plan' it refers to the layout we 'booked' of 2 sets of twins plus a bunk room. Is there a planned refurb as we want what we booked ie 4 proper beds plus bunks and not sofa bed.
Can anyone shed any light?
Thanks in advance

We are also cruising on this ship next year with teenagers and I'm hoping there will be enough life on board having only ever cruised on bigger ships

We've done plenty of sunshine cruises with RCI but are thinking of a whale watching cruise.
Can anyone recommend where to start looking, cruise lines? Destinations?
We live in the U.K.
Thanks in advance

Hi
If we are a family of 5 so I purchase for one adult for 5 devices?
We just want Internet for texting/email rather have than streaming but it seems to be one in the same package. It totals £271.97 for our 8 night cruise so £54.39 per person. Have I understood this correctly?
Thanks

Hi can anyone advise on the best located car hire for disembarking a cruise at Fort Lauderdale please.
Thanks

We sailed with two 17yr olds, 15yr old and 9yr old in August. Kids (or teens club) all the way!
MAKE SURE they go to the ice breaker on day one, that's when all the friendships are formed. They generally break off into smaller groups, hot tub in the day time, ice skating, hanging out by the pool. In the evenings they go after dinner and come in at the given time by security on the ship ;) ;)
Some excursions they came on but we didn't force them, no fun for any of us then.
My kids love it, they miss their mates at the end of the holiday and all generally keep in touch on FBook or What's app.
The best family holiday for us, they're happy so we're happy.

We booked a future cruise whilst on board the Allure and the booking was made with USA T&C's. On returning home to the UK RCI said no we had UK T&C's! After arguing the toss over email, they finally emailed the ship and the cruise sales manager comfir,ed we have USA T&C's.
Just sharing with anyone who may come up against the same wall when wanting to change a cruise and benefit from no admin fees under USA T&Cs - persevere!
:)

Thanks for your replies.
Does anybody have an email contact for USA RCI?

We booked on board Allure last month and received U.S. T&C's - we live in the UK.
I'm still confused as to the benefits and also any benefit in transferring it to a UK TA.
I understood that under U.S. T&C's we could change the cruise with no admin fees. However, we booked with the BOGOHP offer which I now believe is only applicable to that sailing.
Can anybody clarify and offer advice please. We received the booking confirmation on board in £ but no T&C's
Thanks in advance.

Are you sure they're giving you the US T&Cs? It sounds like that's been placed with RCI UK. I'm pretty sure they only quote in USD for US placed bookings.
They told me it was US T&C's - looks like I'd better investigate. My UK TA said if I transfer to her she'd offer me more discount but I couldn't apply any UK offers that may come up as its USA terms .

Thanks for info - the process is becoming clearer to me. Can I ask if the onboard sales person quotes you in dollars or pounds ? I just wondered f the £7000 you mentioned is your conversion from a dollar quoted price? There is certainly quite a good saving for the cruise you were looking at and makes all the more determined to check this out next year.
Hi
They quoted in £ not $ when onboard and all the paperwork is in £'s
-
Sounds good. Have you thought about transferring to a US TA? You'll probably find you get a good amount of additional OBC for that (much more than £250 equivalent) and you keep the US terms. Service, if you choose the right one, seems to be really good. Puts the UK TA industry to shame really - sometimes it seems they're more interested in the travel company than the traveller!
Hi, I wasn't sure we could use a U.S. TA - I'd love some more info if you could email me also! hvwalsh at hotmail dot com
Thanks

We love Indy, the size, the facilities and the ship itself.
We have sailed Indy twice, Freedom once and got off Allure last Sunday.....far too big for us and didn't have the same warm feeling as freedom class. Whilst on board we booked IOS for next July and Freedom for the Easter after....maybe we are just Freedom class people but a lot of people we spoke with onboard agreed that the Allure was too big and lost the personal feeling.

We got a quote from our UK travel agent before we cruised (£8500) we then got a quote onboard £7,000 BOGO half price, $150 OBC £98 deposit, USA T&C's so we can change the cruise as many times as we want with no admin fee. We have the option to transfer to our UK TA - she then offered further discount if we transferred (£250 I think it was). We then decide if the UK TA gets the booking or the we stay direct customer. The balance is due 8 weeks before (from memory) and we pay RCI direct.

Hi
You have answered a question I was thinking about - does booking onboard give you US terms and conditions? Was there a big saving on UK prices?
Yes definitely, it was the difference between booking and not booking. I a family ocean view for 5 we saved £1500 against our UK quote ones $150 onboard credit!!
-
If You Google 'cruise price tracker website' the second in the list with the fish is what I use.
It costs $1 per cruise , but saved me £400 on my cruise last year as you get an email if the price drops.
Fantastic, thank you:)

We arrived back off the Allure on Sunday and booked Independence whilst onboard for 30th July next year.....it's our favourite ship and looking forward to it already :)

Hi
We've just returned from the Allure and booked 2 cruises whilst on board due to the buy one get one half price offer. We love in the UK but have USA terms and conditions to benefit from any price drop, free drinks packages etc.
Can anyone tell me how you track any offers and price reductions please.
*i meant new cruise not now as in title!
Thanks

I'm grateful for all the opinions - good and bad, thank you everyone.
Interesting that the doors are by the bathroom, that's a bonus.
-
Thanks everyone.
I had it in my head that once it was open it was locked wide open to the wall.
If we can shut it then that's perfect, it's 3 teenagers and a 9yr old so we needed the connecting option for her as our cabin only sleeps 2.
-
Hi
We sale on the Allure and have interconnecting interior cabins. Can anyone advise on the situation with the connecting door - can we shut it at our leisure or is it fixed open? The reason i ask is that my husband and I are in one cabin which connects to a cabin with 4 teenagers in!!! I've only just thought of the noise and late night chatting they will keep us awake!
Any advice appreciated.
Thanks

Hi
Can anyone remind me of what hours kids club opens and the arrangements for port day. We plan to get off and leave our 9yr old in kids club (her choice) as she doesn't want to sightsee.
Can anyone advise what time kids club opens in the morning and also lunch arrangements, I can't remember how it works.....the club staff take them for lunch and we pay extra or not?
Thanks in advance
New York for a few nights before Cape Liberty
in East Coast Departures

Planning on a cruise from Cape Liberty after 3/4 nights in NYC. If I fly into JFK how long in a taxi/cost would it be roughly to the cruise terminal and then when coming home is it easier to disembark and fly from Newark or JFK back to the UK?
Thanks in advance.
