Are you visiting any US islands? You will need an ESTA if so.

I would have been very easy to miss the lady with the cabin no. tags at Glasgow! There were two queues to check in and she stood to one side of one queue and only seemed to be giving the envelopes to people who actually went up and asked for them. She was not asking people if they were on the cruise. Not having had them at the airport before we were not specifically looking out for them but being nosy I wondered what she was doing! After a minute I realised what it was and remembered reading on FB that they were given out at the airport for Discovery. I really don't think everyone in those two queues got their tags although I did tell some people standing near us.

Same at Cardiff. I noticed people with tags on their luggage and then saw a lady at a Thomson Cruise stand giving them out.

Clear the cookies from your computer. Apparently if you keep looking at a certain quote, (not just on Thomsons), the company knows you are interested and hikes up the price.

Buffet area is great now. No more trays of food in Bain-Maries! Better seating too.:)
-
Web site is wrong! Thomsons are emailing, in no particular order, to say that we are stopping at Marina di Carerra just down the coast a little.:)
-
Went into TA and she was unaware of any changes to itinerary even though she had Marina de Carerra on her screen and I had La Spezia on my paperwork. She phoned Thomsons who confirmed M d C and they seemed unaware of the fact that Day 5 was a sea day on the web site (Thomson lady was going to email relevant dept to update...). I had an updated itinerary emailed through by the time I got home. Happy now :)

I messaged the FB team and they have confirmed that it is an extra sea day. Don't know how we stand on this as our booking clearly states La Spezia on day 5, and as others have said, no information from Thomsons. I will be popping into TA next week!

It's French and a little harsh compared to the new world wines. But still drinkable.
If you have a Lidl near you try the Californian red Zinfandel at £4.50, we really like that.
Thanks joeholiday2.

We bought our Kuna at the Post Office, about £40 worth. We did the Castle and Cave tour in Slovenia. The caves were amazing, but a bit of a scrum at the entrance as we couldn't find our guide! We had time to walk into town in the afternoon where there was a Farmer's Market on. In Venice we used the full day transfer, straight off the ship onto the water "bus" and dropped off just a couple of bridges away from St Marks Square. Zadar we just walked around, a nice town with lots of history and the sea organ. Dubrovnik we had a taxi to the old town, walked up to the cable car, had a meal, etc. bus back to the port. There is a big supermarket in the port if you need to stock up! Kotor has the best sail in. Another lovely town and easy to DIY.

Great itinerary. We went on the Majesty in May, had a wonderful time. Euro accepted at all places, but you will get a better rate with the Kuna in Croatia. Have a lovely holiday.

Just a couple of questions...
We are due to land in Corfu at 13.05. How long does it take to get through the airport stuff and onto the ship? Would we have time to spend in Corfu?

We booked via TA so can't access "Manage your Booking" but I have booked plane seats on "My Thomson Cruise" page. Haven't tried API yet as still waiting for passports to arrive.........
-
Hi Jim
Just got a confirmation email of seats booked too. Also, it has our names for the seat numbers, but the email is adressed to Mr API, weird!

Hi All
Had a message from Thomsons this morning...
"I've contacted our Cruise Team this morning who've advised that they're working with the Venetian authorities in regards to putting alternative plans into place for any cruises upcoming. However this will not affect your cruise with us."
Hope it all works out as I would be disappointed to miss out on Venice.
