  1. With 1.5 days, I would head to Huntington Beach and enjoy the area. Only 20 minutes to the port and tons of things to do. Go down Main Street and see gorgeous young girls in skimpy bikinis. If you had any game, you could score with these girls easily. By the morning, you would need to find the morning after pill to prevent pregnancies. My buddies would offer our services for free as armcandy for the girls. Always ended up at a nude pool party with lots of drinks. Great times.

  2. Just curious how you get the stockholder OBC applied to your booking when you book the morning of the sailing, or even the day before? I am retiring soon and live within driving distance of 5 cruise ports, so I see A LOT of last minute cruises in my future :)

I send a pdf copy and a fax of my stock statement while I'm on the line with Carnival.

  3. Yeah I would assume that it's okay since you can use the temporary ID in a bar or when buying alcohol from a store. The only reason I would bring an extra form of ID just in case is because everyone isn't always up to speed on things and I would hate for them to give you a hard time

A bar and US Customs and Immigration are two totally different levels.

  4. FYI, Walmart has announced that the store in downtown Long Beach (5th and LB Blvd) is one of 269 nationwide that will close. Since it's recommended on this board for pre-cruise supplies, be sure you have a Plan B. It will close on Jan 28 which probably means they are not re-stocking and transferring inventory to nearby stores.

If you don't have a Plan B pill, they are available at most drugstores.

  5. Hello,

Before the Forum Police school me, I did search the forums but only found a couple of ideas...

My family and I are travelling with connecting OV staterooms. The plan is to put the kids in one room, my Wife and I in the other. Our concern is how to child proof the stateroom hallway door in order to prevent adventurous 3-year old twins from opening it in the middle of the night. We'll keep the connecting doors open but I still want to be able to prevent the kids from opening the stateroom door. I know the doors are heavy, but you would not believe what these girls are capable of!

Anyway, if anyone has any advice how to child-proof the door with mechanical devices, etc, I'm all ears.

Also, any other thoughts about child proofing the stateroom would be appreciated.

    Thank you!

Duct tape and bailing wire works for anything.
