When you get out of the port area take a right (going toward the straw market and Senior Frog’s) and walk 2 blocks or so to Frederick St. You will see buses lined up at  main bus stop on the corner of Bay St.

Just look for a #10 jitney, board and tell the driver Goodman’s Bay. They usually remember, and will probably be dropping others there. But it is normal to say “bus stop please” when you get close. The fare is $1.25 (USD or Bahamian, exact change), you hand it to the driver as you get off. Just flag a bus for your return, buses will stop if they have space…

So to get back there isn't an actual bus stop, you just flag the bus like a taxi?

  2. Thinking about heading to the east side and going to Mezaclitos when we come via RCI in July.  Is the sargassum unbearable?  I know it can very, just looking for others experience there during the summer months?  Also is it easy to get a taxi back to the port from there?

We've rented a car or taken taxis to the east side of the island in the past.  It is much quieter and the water is so much prettier.  Several nice beaches with restaurants, clean bathrooms, loungers etc with no real entrance fee.  They usually want you to spend $5/person on drinks or food to help with maintenance of the property.

This was pre-covid though, so I'm not certain if anything has changed.  This is where we plan on going on our next cruise.  They usually have several taxis waiting to take people back to town/ships.  If there aren't any they will happily call one.

Is the sargassum as bad on the East side of Cozumel as it is on the mainland?

Have youi seen a verifiable photo? I've seen three different styles, all titled cabanas at South Beach. They are sold out for our August sailing, but are also listed as the least expensive option. If youu were able to book, did the booking info show a photo and floorplan like the other cabana options? Due to the cost, I'm thinking I can determine which photo might be accurate but would like someone who has actually seen one to chime in.

My Dad took pictures while he was there last month, but unfortunately did take pictures of the view.  I'd also like to hear about the service at the cabanas. :)

I would call the walk between Warwick and Horseshoe Bay moderate. You can’t walk in a straight line along the beach, sometimes you have to take a path behind the rocks to go around them. Also the exact walk route varies with the tides. Also it is going to be more strenuous in July and August due to heat and humidity than May and October.

Thank you.  Of course we will be there the end of June when it will be hot! LOL

As mentioned all cabins on Grandeur are somewhat small.  In my experience, aside from the actual balcony there isn't a great amount of difference in space between the two categories.

Dragon had a great suggestion of using deck 5 as a "balcony".  I've done this plenty of times, and look forward to using deck 5 as "my balcony" in just a few weeks.  Also, I've used the shower rooms in the spa when my wife and daughter were using the cabin to get ready for dinner/formal night/etc.  The shower in the spa is actually larger that the one in the cabin!.

I'm sure your family will have a great time aboard Grandeur of the Seas!

We've done many cruises with 4 of us in an interior cabin.  Yes tight, but my husband and boys would also use the spa for dinner/formal nights to get ready.  Really works out and saves a lot of money! :)

The package includes any photo in which one of the occupants of that stateroom appears, or a minor child of one of the occupants of that stateroom.

My husband and I are in one cabin and our kids ages 19, 21, and 24 in another.  If I purchase the package for my stateroom, can I get the pictures that the kids are in with us, or only the pictures of myself and husband?

Often? I don’t know how many teens you know, but as a parent of two current 16 year olds (and 3 previous 16 year olds), who’s friends are here all of the time, I find them to be kind, respectful, and no trouble at all.

My last teen is heading off to college in two weeks.  We are definitely going to miss having them around to help with the chores! :)  I totally agree, most teens I've encountered are respectful and helpful.
