We haven't been on this itinerary yet, but we are taking roughly the same trip in the other direction on the Joy in December (Port Canaveral to LA). I have to agree with you that NCL's excursions look a bit lacking overall. There just aren't many options and those that do exist are often slight variations of the same things. I won't be able to share any reviews until it's borderline too late for y'all, but  if I find anything interesting as I'm hunting around, I'll let you know. I think we'll be taking third party excursions during that stretch.

We are on the orlando to LA Departing Dec 4 . if you are on the same and interested in splitting costs on private excursions let me know.

  2. lots of benches around. We are very large people with limited mobility who found lots of places to rest.

Within the. Visitor center there is and auditorium with chairs not theater seating. Also space is open in museum area and would be fine with your scooter. Bathrooms also accesible.

Paths near visitor center and to/from parking area are paved and easy to maneuver.. Handicap parking is available. Take your placard if you have one.

  3. I put up a door sign. It was pink mac tac (self adhesive- no residue) paper cut in a Heart. It announced our first cruise and 10th anniversary. I also put up a small magnetic note pad and pen next to the sign.

Every day we came back to our cabin it was easy to find and people left us lovely notes. Congrats on our anniversary and welcoming us to cruising etc. It was lovely. We took it down and put it on backing paper at the end of our cruise. It is stored with the notepad of messages in our memories chest.

    Go for it.

  4. My TA called NCL this morning. I'm on the October 25th sailing that got changed to RT Barcelona vs Barcelona/Rome. NCL is offering $150 OBC for each of us and instructed to call NCL Guest Service resolution for assistance on airfare change fees. 1-866-625-1164.

You cruise on my birthday (the 25th)

    Sorry about all the changes.

  5. Thanks for joining. I know how hectic it is right now. I am trying so hard to get all my pictures together and in order and get this review done that I have neglected everything else at home. I just wanna get it over with. LOL

I honestly don't know how I got VIP. It seems to happen randomly. I got VIP one other time and it was on the Pearl...for no rhyme or reason. They never did say.

You got vip because you organized the m and g.

  6. This is the first I have heard of swelling.

On our 1st cruise I swole up so bad I couldn't get shoes on. I blamed it on walking. In was unbearable. My husband on the other hand who has edema and swelling at home was fine. I limped for days and couldn't do many excursions.

I'm nervous it will happen again on my next cruise. Perhaps will talk to dr about diuretic in case.

Anyone have any links to more info on the phantom swelling?

  7. Thank you for such amazing. Review. we did 10 days on the Jewel to. Ak. Going again in Sept. Was nice to walk down memory lane with your photos.

Wanted to ask if being fluffy people (we have similar size and body types) you have found any tips for comfort? Are certain ships/cabins/ cruise lines more comfortable for you and Susan?

We didn't find many problems on our last cruise but flying concerns us as does my reduced mobility(stairs are a problem). I found my feet were very swollen on our cruise and I barely got shoes on a couple of days.

What were the best excursions for the $?

Would you have paid full price for the excursions you did ? (Without shore credits?)

Also wanted to note how beautiful Susans dress was. Good shopping on your part.

    Thanks again,

    Alli
