  1. Glory. Makes sense they are bolted in, didn't think of that.

Sailed on the Glory with 20 people. They had us at 2 large round tables right next to each other.

Prior to that I sailed on the Breeze with 45 people and we had 4 tables....they were lined up back to back to back, and the 4th table was off to the side but still close enough to the group.

  2. Soooo with the gratuities added, how much does it come up to per day? I never understood why they just don't post the price inclusive of the gratuities instead of making us have to do all the calculating...or am I also missing something?

  4. Argh! I keep going back and forth to whether or not we should get the Cheers program!!

I barely drink, but my husband likes his beers.....it makes me sick to think of potentially spending $1000 (Canadian) on alcohol......but then I don't want to necessarily be watching the account every day and possibly putting a limit on our fun....help!!!

Since you don't really drink, if I were in your shoes I wouldn't purchase the package since both of you would have to buy it.

Instead I'd probably set aside 3/4 of what you would have spent on the Cheers package and put that towards our liquor budget.

  5. Is that possible?

My sister and my friend booked early saver in an interior cabin for 2 people. But now we'd like to add my older sister to that booking so she won't have to book a solo cabin. Is that possible? Is there anyone with experience in this situation?

I emailed my PVP but she's asleep so I figured it wouldn't hurt to ask you all.

  6. My PVP is pretty great too. I'm a texter/emailer and she always responds to my needs in a timely manner.

I contacted her when I was contemplating booking my upcoming cruise and she kept me updated on current sales and such. She makes the booking process SO much easier for me b/c I loathe booking online. & since I'm traveling with a large group, she took care of everyone's bookings, answered any questions for the first time cruisers and of course linked us all together.

So the perk to me is the peace of mind, especially when planning a group cruise.

  7. My favorites on the ship are:

Taste Bar, during the morning they serve an expanded continental breakfast that includes eggs and hot cereals. At lunch they serve turkey wraps and custom made salads. Then in the evening they serve taste bites from the various specialty restaurants.

Pub Grub in the Red Frog.

    Bonsai Sushi

    Cucina del Capitano for lunch

I also mostly eat breakfast and sometimes lunch in the MDR. Port days it's regular menu and closed for lunch, but Sea days it's the brunch that is open from about 8am to 1:30 and serves both breakfast and lunch items.

I have pizza at least once, a BLT from room service late at night at least once.

I try to play mini golf and I love to sit and watch the kids play at the water park.

Didn't know that about the taste bar. Can't wait to try it out!

  8. We chose the 10am to 10:30am time slot for our March 28th cruise on the Sensation.

Can someone tell me what there is to the check-in process in the terminal (we have never cruised before) but already did the online check-in, set-up our sign and sail account and having our boarding passes and luggage tags. So what do they do at the terminal at check-in?

    Thanks!

    .

Pretty much just check IDs, take your picture and give you your sign & sail card. It's typically a very quick process.

  9. I have heard a lot about the Tandoori and know it's Indian food. I'm unfamiliar with Indian food. Can anyone enlighten me as far as what they offer?

Also is the Blue Iguana Cantina on the lido deck? And is the Tandoori open embarkation day?

    Thanks!!

    This is the menu: http://www.carnival.com/~/media/Images/explore/dining/menus/tandoor-menu.ashx

You have to try the chicken butter masala and the garlic naan.

Most of the foods are saucy and spicy/flavorful. I just started eating Indian food about 2 weeks ago and I feel like I've been missing out.

  10. Yeah I would assume that it's okay since you can use the temporary ID in a bar or when buying alcohol from a store. The only reason I would bring an extra form of ID just in case is because everyone isn't always up to speed on things and I would hate for them to give you a hard time

  11. I have to agree with the Blue Iguana Cantina suggestions. The breakfast burritos are great.

The taste bar also. It was fun stopping by and getting an "appetizer" before heading to the dining room.

Also, the sports square and the water slides, I thoroughly enjoyed them. And the seaside BBQ. I missed out last time I was on there but I intend to fully take advantage of it on my cruise in March.

  12. We loved the breeze my favorite ship on carnival I've been on. I say you must have a breakfast burrito from the cantina one morning. Also we loved the thrill theatre. Buy the pass so you can go multiple times and it is not too much more than a one time. Guys burgers is good but honestly I really thought for having guy fieris name it would have been a lot better (the fries are super Greasy). Get some chocolate molten cake, it's available every night in the dining room. We also loved the sushi. Carnival has the best comedies we have seen at sea so don't miss the comedy shows. Make sure you line up early because they fill up quick. Oh also the George Lopez comedy brunch try the huevos rancheros. Those were our favorites.

The thrill theatre? I must have missed this. Can you tell me more about it??
