  1. All great ideas. I read that when you have Cheers be sure to order extra water and if you can't drink 15 drinks order can beer unopened and take on port days at the beach. Pack a cooler of some kind that can hold ice. I was born to cruise and we are turning PLATINUM. So excited.

I bought a cooler with 6 cans of pop and ordered through the ship to be delivered to the room but they stopped doing that a few months ago. I know it was expensive but I really liked the cooler and it was a nice souvenir to take home. Disappointing that changed all that out. I still have my cooler and will bring it with me.

  2. Just a point on the laundry- we pack knowing that we are going to take advantage of the laundry bag special onboard. That way we avoid both overweight fees if we happen to be flying and we avoid having to do laundry on vacation. Great tip on the infirmary, I never would have thought to go there.

Another way is to take bandages and antibiotic ointment with you. I always take a baggy of those and other medications I might need. Have probably 10 different meds with me such as Benadryl, Tylenol, ibuprofen, meclizine, scopolamine patches, cold medicines, gasx [emoji23][emoji23](due to all the food) , burn relief, Prilosec or pepsid and several others I can’t think of. All fits in a little baggie

  3. Technically, yes. All the way up until 2 days before sailing.

The problem is that after final payment all the deals that are cheaper than your rate are guarantee rates which they don't match against an assigned room. Therefore, I feel safe in saying that it would be super rare to get any price drop after final payment on non-guarantee rates.

On another note: you're not actually considering sailing on Carnival are you? :)

There is nothing wrong with Carnival. It’s a personal choice.

  4. No problem, I agree with you. I just don't usually comment on these, just like texting, you can't get your true meaning out. I guess it just aggravates me that people look down on carnival. Even though I don't like NCL I don't discourage people to use it. I just tell them to look into what they want in a cruise but do tell them my experiences, good and bad. My friends come to me for opinions because I cruise a lot more than them. I have other friends that go Disney. I am not saying that this is bad, I just can't afford that and I have just as much fun on Carnival (depending on the ship, I like some more than others)
