  1. As virgin cruisers we would like to say a huge thank you to everyone on this thread for the extremely valuable information on here.:)

We have been visiting this thread for the last 18 months and can't believe that our sail date is almost upon us. We are so excited and feel well equipped with all the hints and tips posted on here. We would like to give a special mention of thanks to cornishpastyman1 and Happy Cruiser for your insights into cruising, we will be having an ice cream in Rome for Cornishpastyman1 and of course sampling the peanut butter ice cream with lashings of M&M's.:):)

BIG BIG THANKS, Celebrity Eclipse here we come :D:D:D

  2. I use an electric toothbrush at home but for holidays I just buy those packets of disposable toothbrushes, use them twice a day and then throw. They are full size toothbrushes impregnated with toothpaste in a sealed packet. (I bring a small travel size toothpaste for the second use at night and then toss the brush and then have fresh ones each day).

I have never left a toothbrush out, even the disposable one I put away til the evening, as never fancied it being used to clean the toilet or stuck somewhere unmentionable........lol!!

I know what you mean, our friends caught a cleaner using their toothbrush to clean the bathroom sink when they were out in Bulgaria. Yuck!!!

  3. That's too freaking funny! My husband is the same way! I told him that if he doesn't start oohing and ahhing over everything I tell him and everything that I buy that he can't go on the cruise and I will just take my best friend! He is shaping up quite nicely :D

I am so pleased that I am in good company. I have been on a day off today and been bugging my DH to death. We don't sail until Sept and he says he's sick of hearing about it. I just remind him that it was him that wanted to go on a cruise!
