I have done the this trip a few times over the years and i would strongly suggest booking anything you do in Cairns as it sells out fast.

I do have questions about Adelaide though if anyone can help regarding a car hire for the day we are there. Saturday December 10th.

As Mrs R wants to go to maggie beers place for lunch. It looks to be  about a 55min drive and it doesnt open for lunch until noon and i think we depart 16:00 that day.

Do you think we will have enough time? I cant remember what time usually is last aboard and i dont want to be "that person". 

Looks like the car hire places are not to close to the ship and the major ones close at noon on a Saturday.

Or do we suck it up and go on the ship winery tour thats about $90 pp.

Hi there, I was on the cruise that Ovation of the Seas did in December last year to New Zealand when white island erupted.  Terrible day that's for sure, just thankful we did not take that tour to White Island. The reason for this question though, i received an email from Royal the other week stating and i quote:

The offer is a future cruise credit for the 3 of us 2 adults and 1 child . Broken down it said $619 for the first adult, $264 for the second adult and $139 for the child. 

Was anyone else on this cruise and did you also get the same offer? I cant seem to work out why the 2 adult offers are different, maybe someone can shed some light on this for me.

We stayed at the sir stanford in Feb after out voyager of the seas cruise, it was magic, only 10 min walk to the harbour. All depends on your budget though.

Please remove me from January 27th, Voyager of the Seas, out of Sydney :(. I was recently diagnosed with a medical problem, for which they haven't found the source, so I shouldn't plan on being out of the country (USA) for that long.

 

When I reschedule another Australian cruise :D, I'll let you know. In the meantime, keep up the good work.

Just a dumb question that i need to know the answer. Does taking a cruise on Celebrity or Carnival earn loyalty points on Crown and Anchor or Captains circle?

Like a P&O cruise does count towards your Captains Circle.

Just seeing if anyone knows and can stop this debate we are having at work.

Love the review , thanks for taking the time to write it up for us all, i am very jealous. Also, congrats on your coming addition to your family!! You will love it, we have a little girl and she is nealy 4 and we have taken her on a cruise already around australia and we are on the voyager of the seas in Jan next, so she is getting very excited now!!
