  1. (A question related to the Azamara Journey '11-Night Greece & Turkey' cruise, embarking from Istanbul on September 6th)

I know, that: "Azamara does not require a negative COVID-19 test prior to boarding unless this is required by local country regulations."

And, looking at the list, a pre cruise covid test is NOT required when embarking from Istanbul.

After a few days this cruise arrives in Greece. Had this cruise embarked from Athens/Piraeus, a pre cruise covid test would have been required! Most of this itinerary is in Greece, and guests will disembark in Athens/Piraeus.

So: When the embarkation port is Istanbul, where a pre cruise test isn't required .. a pre cruise covid test really isn't required at all for this cruise ? It's all down to the embarkation port, and it doesn't matter where the rest of the itinerary takes you ?

If you launch your Personalizer and go to your upcoming cruise. You will see an area with where you can download your app, depending on the type of device you have. Below the 2 “pictures”, you’ll see a link to also launch the web interface on your computer. Click on it.

    Thanks - found it!

But still can't upload the documents. Anyway .. We've done all that's "required", and the upload of documents is just "suggested", so I guess it'll be ok. We are Green Lane.

And also. With just 9 days to go, we are still GTY and haven't been assigned a stateroom yet 😬

Your first goal, if I might suggest, is to get to the “Green Lane” by loading up all the applicable documents (e.g., proof of vaccination, etc) by using the App, either the one on your phone or via the web interface link provided when you log into your Personalizer. But, to answer your question, when we arrived at the terminal, we just got in the main queue to go through security and got in the check-in line we were told to get in. They never asked what our check-in time was.

However, if you’re App does not show you’re in the Green Lane when you arrive at the terminal, you’re ushered to another line, depending on the reason why.

We are “green lane” for our cruise (Regal/July 16th) .. but we haven’t yet uploaded our COVID documents, as I can’t really find out how to do so through the app?
You say there’s also a way to upload documents by a link on the web personalizer? I haven’t found this ..

When we went by Guest Services earlier today, after a tasty lunch at the International Cafe, we found out there are 2,508 passengers on this leg and 3,358 booked on the next one with around 1,300 crew members.

If possible, could you please check the expected passenger count for the 7 night leg from Athens on July 16th to Barcelona on July 23rd ? Thanks.

Read post #55 it says not fully vaccinated can go of they have a negative pcr 3 days before. You could get this done before you travel and bring proof with you.

It’s just, that I think the information given in the letter (e-mail) that some have received, is not the same as what’s posted on the Princess homepage.
Also, there are different rules when cruising from the UK compared to cruises from the rest of Europe, when it comes to deadline on pre cruise testing.

If your teenager had the 2nd dose within 9mths of cruising they don't need the booster. If your cruise is at a date which is more than 9mths since they had the 2nd dose they do. Check your teenagers vaccinations dates and count forward.

it’s been more than 9 months, since my son had his 2nd vaccine/dose .. but the problem is, that a 3 dose isn’t offered to those under 18 y.o. here in Denmark. So I guess this then means, that he can’t cruise under the current restrictions?

  7. UPDATED: Do I need a COVID-19 vaccine booster dose?

For European cruises departing on or after 7 May 2022, COVID-19 vaccine boosters are required for guests 12 guests and older whose final dose of an approved/authorized COVID-19 vaccine is older than 9 months (270 days).

What then about teenagers? I’m cruising (or are we?) with a 15 y.o., and here in Denmark no boosters are offered or available to anyone under 18 y.o. So how can someone over 12 but under 18 get a booster?

but iced tea and lemonade are available for free. Why would I want to pay for canned versions?

because, the “ice tea / lemonade” you get free from the machines, is a very different product, and doesn’t taste at all the same, or as good as, the sweetened (like peach flavour) version, that you get in cans or bottles.

Iced tea in cans is just sugar water. Just sayin'. There is iced tea available at the buffet and MDR. But it is unsweetened, which I prefer anyways.

.. so .. is canned ice tea (sweet/peach), included in the Princess Plus beverage package? I guess not, as it’s a canned item .. or ..

  10. Have a cruise booked, on Regal from Athens this July. Booked the Princess Plus Package, and so my teenage son will get the Premier Coffee & Soda Package.
The thing is though, that he doesn’t drink soda, he only drinks sweet ice tea (peach) .. and as no canned or bottled items are included? I guess he doesn’t really get any use of his drink package?

Also. There aren’t any Milkshakes (included/with the drink package) on Regal?

  11. I asked Celebrity, and was told today, that:

“We inform you that in this moment we do not have a official communication regarding this topic. The cruise is confirmed for this moment.

If will be new information regarding this topic, please be aware that you will receive a notification by email regarding this.”
