  1. Oh my gosh…8 hours! I messaged them via insta asking if customer service is down

I wish I had some advice for you. What I would do is take a screenshot of the price and a screenshot of your phone with wait time.

This can’t be good for RC. Imagine how much $$ they are losing. Being on hold for HOURS will turn many away from RC. Especially newbies

  2. Yesterday I waited on hold for 3 hours before I gave up. I put my name in the queue at 9:20 am this morning. Still no call back. I am now back on hold, 2 hours later and still waiting. I understand with Black Friday sales, it would be busy, but I have never experienced these hold times and have been cruising exclusively with RC for 10+ years. If I could do what I want to with my existing reservation online, I would. If I could chat with someone online, I would. Am I missing something? Does anyone have any suggestions? Thank you!

  3. She had Covid last September so much longer than 30 days. She took one antigen test and the rest rapid, with negative results each time, except for the tests from Walgreens. You are correct, maybe there is a scientific reason, I wouldn’t know. I was just sharing an experience.

The NAAT test at Walgreens is a PCR test, not antigen like CVS or the majority of home tests. From what I've read, you may pop a positive with PCR/NAAT if you had covid in the recent past (can't define recent, I've seen people say 30-90 days). I believe is also a more accurate test with less likelihood for false negatives than an antigen test but I could be wrong.

In any case, my point is there was likely a scientific reason that this person tested positive with a NAAT test but not with an antigen test and it has nothing to do with Walgreens.

  5. Thought I would share our Walgreens Covid test story. Nine of us scheduled for the Saturday, May 14 Allure cruise out of FLL. Two of my friends flew into Jacksonville (where I live) on Thursday morning and we went straight to my local Walgreens to get our rapid Covid test. Afterwards, we went to my house. An hour later our results came in, 2 negative, 1 positive. My friend who tested positive felt absolutely fine, so she took 3 at home tests which I had, all showing negative.

So we scheduled an antigen test at CVS later that day, knowing we might not get the results in time for boarding on Saturday, but had to try it. Oh, and while we were at CVS, bought 5 more home tests. Got, home, took 4 of the tests…all negative. What the heck? So we scheduled another test at Walgreens the next morning thinking the first one was a false positive.

Next morning, before going to Walgreens, she took the fifth home test and still negative. Went to Walgreens, came home, an hour later the test came back POSITIVE. At that point, my friend was really distraught and I was frustrated. So I sent a frantic message in our community FB page for an E-med test. (At this point we are less than 24 hours till boarding and we’re supposed to be driving to FLL with other friends.)

Fortunately, someone had one. Went to get it, came home, she took the proctored test and it came back NEGATIVE. Yess! Half an hour later, the CVS came back NEGATIVE. So we were in the clear.

I just find it so interesting that out of 11 Covid tests, 9 came back negative, 2 positive from one Walgreens.

Fortunately our story ended well and we had the most amazing cruise!

  6. We got off Oasis on 4.7 and were told we were at 65% capacity. The only time it felt crowded was at the Lime and Coconut Pool bar on a sea day. And I feel that could have been bc one of the bartenders did everything possible to avoid serving customers. The manager finally stepped in and start taking orders lol

    It was a fantastic cruise!

  7. 5Hi Andrew - SO enjoying your extended review! Two things- for your amazing wife - if she is looking for (another) show to binge watch - highly recommend “Girlfriends Guide to Divorce”. Since you mentioned enjoying an occasional AI, have you checked out Hotel Xcaret? Opened less than a year ago and the reviews are off the charts! We are D+ (just showing how much we love to cruise) trying it out in Dec after friend RAVED about their experience.

  8. This was not during Spring Break and it may not always be a factor of the number of P’s on a particular cruise but the P guests that week were pretty demanding of the staff’s time. And like I said, they would gather each evening and round up tables and seats by the window and sit for a good while. And I do know they were Pinnacles by their pins.

In my opinion, the wonderful (and differentiating) Suite benefits on the O class attract people to spend the money for a Suite - great job RCI). Do you think these unique O class suite benefits are attracting more P’s to sail on this class more than the other classes?

  9. While I understand this is a sensitive subject to some individuals, we experienced similar behavior of Pinnacle guests this past April while in a CLS (first time). Upon boarding the Suite Concierges were completely monopolized by Pinnacle guests. We wanted to ask a few questions (brand new to CK/SL). Finally gave up and left without questions answered. During the week we experienced the prime window seats occupied each happy hour by Pinnacle guests. I KNOW this does not apply to all Pinnacle guests. We are back in a CLS in 3 weeks and will report back.
