    Does the Meet & Mingle page need to be updated? Basically, curious to know if any of the cruise lines with an official partnership with Cruise Critic currently in the PAUSED list have un-paused.

    Yeah!!! Today I received my first daily email from Cruise Critic!! Thank you everyone for all of your help!! So glad it's working again!

     

    Perfect timing! We leave for Rome tomorrow and catch the NCL Star on November 5 from Rome sailing to Miami!

    yes, exactly, but since I'm leaving for my cruise in a few days, I just thought it would be great to receive posts from that group. Yes, I know I can sign on myself - that works without any problems, but it's crazy when a system seems to be working well and they go and change it. 

    I'm sure, in time, everything will work out!

    Exactly!! We have the exact same problem and I also answered the email sent by the help desk saying that my computer is configured correctly!! Now what?? Still no daily posts coming from our cruise posts!!!

  6. I know!! A month ago I was receiving everything that was posted on cruise critic and just like that it stopped!!!! It's crazy. I'm with you!! So frustrating!! I've checked all of the criteria and everything is supposed to be working. Why isn't it? I really think that we need to unsubscribe and then subscribe again. Sounds crazy, but it might work!!     Thanks for your information, but I am still totally confused and the program is still not working - I know what you're talking about because I've checked and unchecked every conceivable possibility under the "notification list", but it's still not sending me anything from my cruise critic forums!!!! This is totally ridiculous! What did Cruise Critic do to change the system so that their members no longer receive information? I don't understand!! Do I need to "unsubscribe" and sign in again to start receiving emails again? Would that help????

  9. I stopped receiving all of the notifications from Cruise Critic on October 9 - it's SO frustrating!! What was wrong with the old system? In order for me to read the forums I'm on, I need to log in - I no longer receive emails indicating that someone has added a new thread!!! So frustrating - how can this be fixed? I have become an expert on my settings in Cruise Critic and have tried turning them on and off - nothing is working!! Help!!!

    Since the switch over to the new forum software you may need to update your notification settings. Here is a link to the how to here on the help forum.

     

    Hi, Thanks for the information - I'm positive that all of my settings are in working order, but no luck in receiving threads from the 3 cruises that I'm going on - it's frustrating and really nuts that it happened all of a sudden. I did check everything under notification settings and it all looks fine to me - any other suggestions? Thanks!

    I've been a Cruise Critic member for about 8 years and never had a problem with any of the forums I've signed up for cruises I'm sailing on! Since October 3, 2018, I have NOT received any new forums for the three cruises that I will be sailing on. What happened?? I've gone into my notification settings and everything seems to be working perfectly. Why aren't I receiving notifications anymore?

    The Calanques are beautiful! I didn't remember them mentioned in our tour description or itinerary from Provence Connection. I just went on Trip Advisor to see what they are - outstanding! Sorry to hear that they will be closed for the season. Provence Connection seems like they do a very good job in the touring department! I'm sure they will make sure that you see everything possible on your day's excursion. I'm really looking forward to going next year.

  13. Elaine, we were in Aix and Cassis last year on the Silly. The Calanques will be closed for the season. Town was virtually a ghost town but fun to walk around. We are using Provence Connection as well this time and are going to Marseille and Aix. Hope weather is better this time. Aix is a pretty town and we hope Marseille is as well.

  14. Does anybody have feedback about Provence Connection which operates out of Marseille? They have a shore excursion to Aix-en-Provence, Cassis, and Marseille which sells by the seat. It looks like a much better tour and deal than those offered by the ship.I see mostly excellent ratings on Trip Advisor, but want a second opinion from Cruise Critic people. Thanks for your input.

    Hi There,

     

    I've booked a group of 8 for our November 2016 T/A cruise on the Celebrity Silhouette with Provence Connection to Aix-en-Provence and Cassis. They did explain that seeing two of the three cities is the best way to tour, so we are not going to Marseille. They are wonderful to deal with and yes, they have excellent reviews on Trip Advisor. I am looking forward to that tour next year.

    Hi Finnley Jack,

     

    I have booked the Provence Connection for 8 people in a van for November 7, 2016. We are sailing on the Celebrity Silhouette and we will need 6 more people to fill the van. The cost for 8 people is 549 Euros which breaks down to about 69 Euros per person for a full day tour to Aix-en-provence and Cassis. Please let me know if you are interested in joining my husband and I. I have planned trips like this before (in 2012, I arranged for a private tour for 75 to the Golden Circle in Iceland on the Caribbean Princess ) and the tour was just fabulous for everyone that joined us.     I will be sailing on the Celebrity Silhouette in November 2016. Does anyone know of a good tour guide for a day trip to Provence from the port of Toulon? I see that all of the guides have excellent reviews on Trip Advisor. I don't think many of the tour guides are working in the month of November. I know that Catherine from Tour Designer in Provence is already booked.
