  1. Fast question for you Susie 51, if you remember, what time was the welcome aboard show on the first night. We board on Sunday, and would maybe like to see this one (we've always been busy on our other cruises). Figure if I can plan for it, more likely to make it.

  2. Neither my husband or I could wear our wedding rings to work when we first got married (he works for the railway and I'm a nurse), so we really never got in the habit of wearing them. Yet somehow we managed to stay together for 22 years. I have a simple silver band that I wear when I do remember to put it on. If I lost it I wouldn't be heartbroken about, but it's not worth anything either. So I guess the question for you is how would I feel if it was gone, and if the answer is heart broken leave it in the safe.

  3. So here's my questions Drake, hope you can help. We're going to be docking in January and thinking of visiting the St George Village Botanical Gardens. First how long of a taxi ride would it be from the dock, and second do you know if there's much in bloom that time of year? We live where everything is covered in snow in January, so anything with colour to photograph is great. Thanks.

  4. Ok wow, I go to work and come home to find an wealth of info. Thank-you all.

To answer the questions it is the Fairfield inn near EWR, the other couple is using points so we were limited to the Marriott chain. We arrive at 6pm the night before the cruise (leaving the kids at home so no extra time on either end) so we're just looking for some place to crash and then get fed in the morning. And an easy trip the next day to the cruise terminal, to help calm the nerves of a couple of first time cruisers (they're very worried about sea sickness etc).

It sounds from most of the recommendations to look at a car service is the way to go.

  5. I'm wondering if I can get some advice from those in the know. Our airline that we originally booked with is no longer flying into Newark, and so now we land at JFK. But of course we're staying in NJ pre-sail. When I try to research it looks like there is ton of ways to get from point A to point B, of hugely varying price points. Can anyone who's had to do this before give me any recommendations? Oh yeah we're 2 couples (40's and 70's) with probably a large bag and a carryon each.
