Hi Eric and Melissa,
Looks like u had a great time!
We didn't cover Icy Straits point last year when we went on Diamond Princess.
Looks like u made a good choice as less ships visit that port. :)

We did encounter wheelchair bound passenger during one of our shore excursion bus trip.
The driver cum guide was pretty professional and render assistance in geting him on and off the bus. :)

Hi caribill,
Think there is no right or wrong doing either way ... :)
As long as we cover both the cruise and land portion at the end of the day with GREAT weather! :D
We think we did it the right way, tour first and cruise second.Since you did the opposite, what are your thoughts on which to do first?

We were on Diamond Princess for our Alaska cruise, and we luv the ship! :)

Hi caribill,
Fantastic review! We did the other way, cruise followed by land your and have started sharing our experiences too on our blog, starting with the MCKINLEY express rail service :)

Hi Libertarian,

Some photos of our caribe balcony room from our blog

We love the caribe deck too! :)
Love the Caribe deck balconies and I think you'll be really happy with them! Have kept considering moving up to a mini-suite, but hard to justify the step up in price after loving the Caribe balcony rooms so much.Enjoy the sail!

Caribe deck to us is the nicest.
With a larger balcony than normal balcony class staterooms, u enjoy the best of both worlds, without sacrificing too much privacy with a fully exposed balcony like the dolphin deck and bigger space than those above.
We find that the extra space in the balcony really make a difference for us

We were in caribe deck for our recent cruise.
