We were in Liverpool last year for a day - like you. We took a wonderful bus tour of north Wales. We can highly recommend it. Check busybus.co.uk and look for "North Wales Adventure". They get you at the boat and bring you back. There is a wonderful fish and chip restaurant at one of the stops.

I can highly recommend the Busybus tours of north Wales. It takes about 4 or 5 hours and visits Conwy (for the wonderful castle), amazing Snowdonia and various Welsh villages. We thoroughly enjoyed it in August 2012. You can contact them at Peter Rosenfeld <peter@busybus.co.uk>
