We are headed to Nassau at the end of the month, and still haven't decided what we'll do while we're there. There will be 4 adults (29-65) and two small children, ages 4-years and 9-months. We were originally planning on Atlantis, but it's a little out of budget right now. We have been trying to find something to do that doesn't require a taxi, as to avoid loading/carrying carseats. I found the British Colonial Hilton is walking distance from the pier. So- to anyone who's been: is it family/child friendly? Also, what were your general opinions? Worth the money?

Thanks! :)

Good afternoon! I'm hoping y'all can help me decide on the best cruise for our family situation.
Â
Â
We will be cruising with my parents and our two daughters in August. Our girls are 4-years and (in August) 9-months. We're on a tight budget, so we are looking at 3-5 day cruises. We are driving from VA, so don't want to go any further than Port Canaveral. We aren't terribly picky and just have fun being together, but I also want my 4-year-old to have plenty to do. All that said, these are the two cruise options we've found...
Â
Â
5-day, Carnival Elation from Jacksonville to Half Moon Cay and Nassau. Slightly cheaper, shorter drive.
Â
Â
4-day, RC Majesty of the Seas from Port Canaveral to CocoCay and Nassau. Little water park area for our 4-year-old.
Â
Â
The Carnival cruise seems like a better deal at a day longer for less money, but I've never cruised with kids, so I'm not sure which cruise line or ship would be better! I've actually never cruised on RC, so I don't have a point of reference there, but I've heard they're nicer...?

Thank you! I haven't used the boards in several years. How do I get to the family board?

Hi everyone! My parents have asked us to cruise with them in August, and we are so excited to vacation together. We're on a tight budget, so we're pretty much tied to a 3-5 day cruise. We will be bringing our two little ones, who are 4-years-old and (at the time of the cruise) 9-months-old.
Â
We are looking at a 5 day out of Jacksonville on the Elation. Stops are Half Moon Cay and Nassau. We cruised a few times before kids, but never with them! What are your thoughts on this ship and little ones? Any advice or opinions are appreciated! :)
Kids in Freeport - Need Suggestion!
in Bahamas
Posted
Hi there! We are cruising in May to the Bahamas. One of our stops is Freeport. My husband and I will be cruising with our two girls, ages 5 and 9. We've been to the Bahamas, but never Freeport. I'm aware it's not the best of the Caribbean, but we'd still like to get off the boat and enjoy a day on the island. We prefer adventure over a day at the pool (we can do that at home). Any suggestions of something fun for the kids? I was thinking of Paradise Cove, but my husband doesn't think it looks kid friendly. Would love your suggestions and input!! 🙂

**For reference, we're doing a dolphin swim and Blue Lagoon in Nassau and just a day at the beach at Half Moon Cay on our other days.Â
