  1. I was also on Apex 3/12 in Concierge class deck 12 but I stress you must watch where you select your cabin. Near pool or under buffet can be a disaster!

Agreed ship was gorgeous! Food and service excellent!
But, many fellow cruisers did not realize it was Spring break in Florida… a totally different mix of cruisers a lot of children  and many cruisers who ignored a smart casual dress code.

I did see one man get turned away from dinner in shorts…he complained saying…at least they are clean…well he was turned away anyway!

Yes I saw a man belly hanging over swimsuit walking through ship totally oblivious to his attire…guess he doesn’t own a mirror!

Yes some cruisers with tats but at least the gstrings in the pool area were lacking and the speedos were basically non existent!

Have been back sailing since October on Royal, Celebrity and MSC and yes

2000 was the most people I’ve experienced since Covid…but ship was not overly crowded, rarely had to wait for an elevator and people seemed respectful of space. Getting on/off ship a breeze.

One thing no one mentioned the cruise director Giuseppe was fantastic so was his activities director Darren great duo! Kept everyone energized.

In short, Spring break is a totally different kind of cruising..l would recommend quieter months to cruise…but I think large numbers on ships are back…unfortunately!

We are booked on B2B sailings in March of 2020.  I have a couple questions if anyone can help.

    1)  Will they issue our Sea Passes on Day 1 for the 2 cruises or do we have to get it reissued for the second cruise?

    2)  We always bring our alotted 2 bottles of wine on board when we drive/cruise.  Can we bring 4 bottles onboard on day 1 for both cruises?

    Input would be appreciated,

Question 2 If you decide not to carry 4 you can buy wine at cruise terminal in Amsterdam .... last year we bought ours at a small grocery by hotel before boarding

then realized that wine was available at terminal.

  3. Heather

We have a 10:30 AM BCN/ ATL. We have done walk offs many times in BCN.

    plenty of taxis ...

By the way where are you a chef in Fl?

Just met chef Scott in a pub in downtown MLB...he invited us to his restaurant after his restaurant was being honored 5 ***** .

I see you like wine....Have you found any good wine tours on this cruise?

  4. Interesting Dennis!

    is there a website available?

Ive given up trying to call MSC on anything ..... you are put on hold forever

    thru one general phone #.

Heard there is also a bus service down 95 but then heard it was discontinued.

    Brightline would be great!

Florida Today just announced Port Canaveral #1 port to bad MSC doesn’t come in

    by us!!!

  5. We parked in open  lot E right ( very shady) across from MSC terminal no problem walking across street w/ luggage. Actually access is to Carnival as well .

Came into another terminal but there are sidewalks along port no problem.

if there are a lot of ships in ( we had 9) that day garages get packed!

$20 a day for parking inside or out.

  6. Golden Eagle is GREAT! Am booking it a 2nd time on RCI.

The swim beach they take you to is gorgeous crystal clear water private and tranquil right around the bend from airport.

Snorkeling is over a submerged helicopter and underground walkway

( hard to explain) divers and snorkelers see plenty of fish!

    Excellent excursion!

  7. Been on Oasis and Harmony recently don’t feel any motion!

But living near Port Canaveral lately this year our seas have been rougher than usual.

We constantly get marine warnings for boaters (remember it’s hurricane season and rough surf can generate even if hurricane is many miles away)

Was @ beach last night lots of wind and chop!

  8. Absolutely great, you can take a snorkel tour which takes you to 2 dive spots or take the ferry over to the small island adjacent to port and walk in and snorkel right off beach have done both and both highly recommended!

I have snorkeled Hawaii Bermuda Bahamas Mexico and many different islands in Caribbean and this is one of my favorites! Will again be there in February! Was on RCCL and the first tour was booked thru them but I know you can find them if you Google snorkel trips Bonaire.

  9. Love Barcelona....

Always stay there pre/ post cruise....Hop on/ off bus ...

Ride the red bus route then transfer to blue if you have time... it will take you all over city.

Unfortunately we have found the cruise port and Rombulus are the busiest stops on the route. If you can get on the stop before or after each of those stops you usually can get a seat.

We take the bus the entire route and then decide where we want to go.

The green route takes you out past the harbor towards the zoo. Not as much to see if you don’t have the time.

Unfortunately most of the places are jammed in season and ticket lines are long so the bus is your best bet to see the most areas in limited time.

By the way the dock in Barcelona is long!

You must walk over a bridge and long sidewalk so a taxi might be wise and ask them to take you to the nearest stop for bus...you can download the stops off the web.

We really Enjoy Brillance this will be our 4th cruise on her next month... Have fun!

  10. We decided to do My Time on both Europe and Spring Break cruise.

In Europe we chose a table for 2 by the window and actually sat in the same location each night. If we were not at our normal table our waiter

Would grab us and clear a table in his area!

He actually approached me leaving the ship on our Spring break in TPA

And said he was just on vacation....

Can you believe it??? He remembered me?

I told him we would see him next month on our Baltic cruise....

By the way we were a party of 5 for Spring break and also got the same table each night.

  11. We must have been on different cruises!

Music in Atrium was horrible! Singers were mostly the same each night!! Off key and poor selection of music.

Entertainment in Europe was boring ....a BMX show one night...entertainers yes.... Geared to Europeans....

Since we had late dinner and a port intensive cruise it was no big deal to u

  12. We always get dropped off by Grills no traffic and easy place to wait ... We live in Indialantic. Have you checked w/ Radisson hotel or our friends from up north found cheap parking rates @ the Cocoa Beach Hampton Inn? (but you must use their shuttle) also noticed a relatively new taxi service beachside with checkered cabs I bet they would pick you up @ Grills! I have seen them along A1A and around our area. Search taxi service in MLB... You should find them!

  13. Absolutely must go ! We have been on Brillance Liberty and Serenade and each time have done a little something different on each trip.

Agreed not much to do in Citavecchia... Depending on traffic 11/2 hr drive and if you are on a RCI tour ship will wait for you if late....since so many tours go there. ( Actually lost a group of ladies busy shopping in Rome and another RCI tour picked them up!.... If you don't meet on time you are told group does not necessarily wait for you!)

Train a good option but when we met our tour bus by station the place was bedlam and a bit overwhelming!

We took the RCI family tour both times to Rome and was great and cheap and totally different both times! Quietest tour ever kids slept both ways... So did parents LOL!!!

We saw everything we wanted had time by ourselves for lunch and time to sightsee on our own and even walked to trivi fountain and Spanish steps.

Drove by the Vatican and had a great walking tour with a guide who was

Actually an archeologist on one of the sites near the Colosseum.

Florence/ Pisa had a fabulous professor of Art who took us thru the city and had a wonderful lunch in a local hotel .... Pisa was again tourist chaos

Tour buses galore! But we saw it and left!

My very favorite if you can't get to Amalfi is Cinq Terre absolutely loved it!

By train or boat very easy out of La Spieza ( RCI tour combines both)

    Enjoy!

  14. Just off Brillance of Seas on Saurday...

Condition of ship ok looks a bit worn but going into dry dock after transatlantic.

Food on 5 day ok no lobster and now you order dessert at the beginning of meal instead of a separate menu @ end. We were told this was purely for American market because they don't want to wait... Vs Europeans who like to relax and take their time @ dinner.... We chose to tell waiter we will wait and see if we want dessert... They were fine with this!

On the other hand we had totally different menus in Europe 10/17 and really enjoyed the food.

Entertainment on ship in my opinion was poor even thou both cruises have totally different performers. We actually thought the belly flop and sexiest man contests were the BEST shows on the ship!

Last year did A 12 night most nights we were totally exhausted from touring so entertainment was really no issue!

We will be doing Baltic Aug 20 and plan to do On/ off bus in Amsterdam Skagden probably bicycles also Tallin walking or bicycle.

Used cruisingexcursions.com last year they have 1/3/4/5 port packages

Was really surprised w/ prices/ guides/ excursions very professional!

    Enjoy!
