See the link under the Google Play symbol?  This is the summary page for your reservation.  They don't make it very easy to find, especially for older eyes. 😉

Thanks so much, we are cruising in 5 days, on Majestic, couldn't book specialty dining through app, only regular dining, rang Princess, they couldn't either, suggested to book on board, just tried the web link and it will let me book Grill & Harmony (using my dining credits) just won't let me select Catch as a dining venue, so that's only 1 we have to book once on board, don't know why it has to be so difficult? Now going to check app to see if dining reservations have updated 🙂

Since I'm posting on here and there appear to be some experts around is there anywhere we can access the MDR menus or rather, sample menus?

There's a website, eatsleepcruise that has them listed for the Majestic  specialty dining which is what I Googled, also found menus for the casual dining options by searching this forum, also has some MDR menu image on an image search but not sure how up to date they are as it seems to be rather dependent on the length and destination of the cruise - one sure thing is that there is always something to eat!

Now if I could just get the app to accept my bookings for speciality restaurants I'd be happy.

Still got a couple of months to keep trying, which is why I came here today.

Any family joining us on Serenade of the Seas on a June 9th, 2019 ex Wonderful Copenhagen ?

    cheers Matt and Juan

    Hi Matt & Juan,

We are on this cruise and the following one, making a 3 week B2B, should be a good trip 🙂

  4. Haha we also were on the same voyage. I'm trying to think who was Robert...were you the one who organised the Murano lunch with the Qf doctor?

I heard Suva itself is boring but beaches and mud bath are cool. Does this concur with your memory of Suva?

    Sam

Lol Sam, no that was Ross who was travelling with Ion who organised lunch.

Suva was pretty much like little india, too many touts and crazy full of people. The beaches were ok, didn't do the mud baths.

Just finished muster, now to unpack and enjoy the next 2 weeks, see you at X-mas 😎

  5. Hello boys,

we have also booked the xmas cruise to Fiji on Solstice. Excited to see what the ship looks after the dry dock. Have you booked any shore tours? We haven't been to Fiji and would be great to explore it.

    Sam

    Hi Sam,

We have just done Sydney to Singapore trip and tomorrow will rejoin Solstice fresh from her refit, we will be interested too to see the difference.

We haven't had a chance to look at any shore tours yet, have been to Suva a few years ago but never to Laukatoa.

We would be interested in doing tours if you need a couple to join you.

    Cheers, Robert

  6. "12 Things Not To Do In Dubai" on YouTube

"Dubai - the rules" on YouTube

According to these videos, even riding in a car with a member of the opposite sex whom you're not married to... is a crime.

I wasn't sure if wearing shorts was legal there... since visiting the UAE Embassy here was not allowed if you're wearing shorts.

We booked two separate twin beds at the hotel, of course.

We're kind of on the same cruise as you as well, except we get on in Singapore and off in Sydney.

We were in Dubai twice this year - have had no trouble in either the Sheraton Dubai Creek or the Manzil Downtown, which were both great places to stay, but then we didn't prance up and down the streets holding hands!

We too were worried a bit about shorts and wore convertible pants and had the zipped off legs in our pack, but didn't really have to use them at all.

I think as long as you are respectful they put up with tourists - just found the customs people were very business like and almost felt they resented you visiting, it's a very different way of life than here in Australia and you have to be aware of that.

The worse thing I could say is that it is very hot there and the sand gets Everywhere!

    cheers, Rob

  7. Thanks so much for your reply. Please don't apologize for missing anything. Who would ever think of photographing the TV buttons?! On closer look, it does seem like the button below the rewind on the remote might work.

Thoie, that's a good point about the wifi issue. We don't sail until September of 2016, so if you return with some options that worked for you I'd love to hear about them. We have a 24 day cruise with lots of sea days, so we'll have plenty of time to watch movies/listen to music.

Not meaning to Hijack this thread, but I have been looking at the TV issue as well.

From what I have read on here & Google, you need a Samsung universal remote to put the TV out of "hotel mode" and then you can use the input select button. Not sure if our new phone with built in Samsung remote for the TV will suffice for this, as you need to input the code for the model of TV.

As for using Chromecast there apparently is a way to do this without using the ship wi-fi. You need to get a wireless portable hard drive and make a local network and then you can add the laptop or tablet and the chromecast and use it, but it is still dependent on being able to use the input of the TV for your own use.

Many hotels now have a box you can plug in to to view your own USB movies or pictures and I really don't see why they can't do this on the ships.

Not that we spend a lot of time in our cabin but would love to be able to have the choice.

I hope someone may be able to confirm the use of the TV inputs as there is a lot of conflicting information out there.

  8. Glad you asked this as I was wondering the same. We are also out of Singapore on 3rd Nov. I do like my early cuppa on the balcony. :)

Yes we're on the same cruise - We prefer to have tea & coffee before/as we arise (and have never yet used room service), would be nice :-)

It seems that it might just be a nice surprise when we get on if it's there :D

  9. Hi, Can anyone tell me if you are doing B2B does that mean you can bring in 2 bottles each leg? We have different cabins and separate reservations for each leg. I think we could easily pop into Perth and buy a couple of bottles to enjoy in our cabin.

    Thanks, Rob
