Are menus posted anywhere? I can't find them.
Thanks so much for y'alls suggestions! After 43 cruises, I shouldn't be excited. First time on Celebrity tho.

Sailing Celebrity for first time. On Reflection in December.
What are food/snack must haves? Like Coconut Ranger cookies for a snack on RCCL, or Garlic Tiger Shrimp in main dining room on RCCL.
Thanks

I use a wheelchair full time, but I am not bound to it!

No need to rant!
All ports and airports are free in Florida IF the vehicle has been converted, I have a lowered floor conversion minivan! It has a Braun ramp. Port of Miami used to be free with just a placard, but rule changed a few years ago.
I have cruised 43 times, ALWAYS park at port and NEVER paid for parking.
Check ports website if you don't believe me!
No idea if a non-Florida port.

Not an electric chair! It's a power chair!! An electric chair is what people get with the death penalty!!

They use 8 decks of cards.

Does the scooter come apart? Honestly if it doesn't, there is no place for a scooter in a non accessible cabin!

Bring or rent your own chair, they are not provided. They will wheel on and off ship with their wheelchairs!
Post on the disabled forum for lots of good info!

DCL and RCCL are more alike than they are different.
Both are a quality product.
Castaway Cay is better than Coco Cay or Labadee.
Food, service and ships are about the same!
I have done 5 Disney and 37 Royal Caribbean so I love them both!

Not all disabilities are seen!
I, as a full time wheelchair user, appreciate your concern about waiting BUT if the features of an accessible cabin makes your cruise easier for you, you should have booked it a long time ago!
Be sure and dam up the shower with towels! The bathroom floor floods easily!

Yes, my remark was a knee jerk response.
I apologize!
Just the wording that you scored an accessible cabin touched a nerve. I should have asked when you were sailing. There are a lot of people who want the extra room these cabins offer. I NEED the extra space, I can not cruise in a regular cabin. There are so few accessible cabins on each ship!
A favor please, when you check in, tell them if someone needs the cabin, you will move! Say it with a smile and ask for an upgrade, I bet you will get one!
Yes I am a nice person, thanks Patti for confirming it!

Do you NEED the accessible cabin?
If you just want the extra room, then shame on you!

I would have reported the chair in the hall. MAJOR fire issue. And before you ask, I am in a power chair.

My suggestion:
In order for specific answers for her questions as a novice cruiser.
Find a travel agent that specializes in accessible travel. There are excellent ones out there. Not Internet only TAs. It won't cost a penny more than going it alone. But their expertise is invaluable!! Make sure and interview them!

I got the invite too, but we will be on Freedom cruising then!

Is it possible to purchase OBC prior to cruising? If so how?
Thanks

Hey Patti,
I still fondly remember the Happy Coconuts cruise!
We need to cruise together again!
Tell Jim hi!

My doc said it was fine to do it immediately after eating!

You don't have to have the toll exemption BUT the vehicle has to be modified. I have a Dodge Caravan with a Braun Conversion, it has a lowered floor with a fold out ramp so it qualifies. FYI ALL cruise terminals AND airports in Florida have this also.

can someone please post the link to redeem BAO points for OBC?
I can't find it.
Thanks

There are other travel insurance companies that waive pre existing conditions. Do some research!

2013? That ship has sailed. Literally!!

Look at Radiance of the Seas by Royal Carribean. Very very accessible! The cabin doors of the accessible cabins have automatic doors, very good feature!
