  1. We've been looking at other cruise lines event though we are just two cruises short of elite level, due to the itineraries and costs compared to Princess. Since we are both military and have the 100 shares for the OBC, dropping one or the other may be the final push to go to another cruise line. We have two booked now; Asia in Feb 2024 and NE/Canada in Aug 2023 and have both credited for each of the credits.

Just found this out on our current sailing, but there’s a secret Indian menu you can order in the MDR with 24 hours notice.

I was going to take pictures when it arrived but everything smelled so good we started eating before I remembered!

This is a whole different caliber than what they serve at the buffets/lunch menu.

You can also do this with Filipino food.

Just got off Sky Princess Miami to Southampton      12th March to 28th March 2022

Just 2 days of internet only out of Madeira    Princess agreed new contract with ?.........??????   They agreed a Hopeless satellite at a 10th of previous contract

No consideration for anyone who needed to contact family or arrange pre flight Covid tests before flying back to USA

Without Internet could not even book Covid tests at Heathrow .....Princess did not test anyone at all

Apparently CDC issued instructions that no one could enforce Hand Sanitisation

    What a total mess ?

Covid on board ...CDC   Red warning    told 100 but also more likely 700

Fed up with idiots refusing to wear masks

Way too many Walking around Hand sanitisers and even when officers are alerted NOTHING IS DONE

Sorry but long time Princess Cruisers will not be back again and we are definitely  not alone

I would say the problem is with the passengers, not Princess.

  4. We love cruising and have used Princess for our last 10 cruises. With the recent changes, I'm not sure if loyalty (ours to Princess) means anything anymore as the benefits of loyalty are being removed. United Airlines did the same thing a few years ago and I have not flown them since. Is recognition of your loyalty important to you?

I doubt the comment was meant literally. I certainly took it simply as an expression of extreme outrage.

But to answer your question, how about an easily washed off bright neon pink dye applied to hands on entering a public washroom. (It shouldn't be difficult to have an automated mechanism to spray the dye when a latch plate was pressed to open the door.) People with bright pink hands can then be denied service and more hygienic individuals would know to avoid contact. 🙂

and maybe we can cut their fingers off each time they touch their face...

I remain optimistic. We've distributed 56M doses and administered 34M.

That means we already are set to have vaccinated more than 10% of the adult population.

26M people have had the virus. There is some overlap to be sure, but we should already be looking at relative immunity for about 20% of the adult population. Given what we know, survivors should either wait, or only get one dose to increase the number having protection.

We are looking at doing about 1.5M doses per day now, which would be about another 10% of the adult population each month, but that number should continue to increase.

Several "experts" have said herd immunity by the end of April. I hope they are right.

I agree.  The question now is, what do you think will be the offer after it is made official?  Do they still offer the $600 OBC or a lesser amount?  Not sure how they can offer that much indefinitely.  While many say it costs them very little, it does eat into profits that they normally make on these areas.

I'm getting concerned about the OBC. My third rebook is for Aug 1. They told me I had too much OBC $1600 last time we booked so if they cancel again and offer more, I wonder if I will get anything from it?

  8. Original cruise was Apr 11. Cancelled by Carnival, rebooked with FCC and new deposit for May 31. Cancelled by Carnival so we took FCC and OBC. Re-booked for Aug 1. Used FCC for full fair due to price difference and received my $600 OBC plus some additional for previous deposits. Also had our Sep 5 Cruisetour to Alaska with Princess cancelled.

  9. Once the Feds and private companies start opening up commerce again, the States will follow quickly. Everyday that goes by the people in those states are losing millions of dollars and the little bit the government is giving out will not keep the country afloat. Business HAS to start again or the people killed by the virus will be dwarfed by those suicides, murders, etc., caused by lack of food and money.

  10. This happened to me too so I called back. They redid everything with Corporate and as soon as I hung up my FCC was applied and the remaining balance disappeared. Ten minutes later I received email confirmation of the "paid in full" notice.

  11. We were scheduled for the Vista April 11. I called and they said no decision had been made so if I cancelled, my "penalty" amount would be put in FCC and all excursions, port fees and gratuities would be refunded to my original form of payment. No refund of VPP though so it cost me around $400 to cancel. The cross border policy with Mexico and the dismal outlook for normalcy by April 10 were at the forefront of my decision.

  12. Cancelled my April 11 cruise today. "Penalty" amount moved to FCC, must cruise within one year of original cruise leave date. The rest of the money; excursions, gratuities, port fees, etc., returned to  original form of payment. Lost the Vacation Protection fee but that was expected.

  13. We have a cruise out of Galveston, TX for April 11. Ports are Mexico, Honduras and Belize. Our hotel in Galveston just emailed and said they have cancelled our reservation, all reservations until May 1. I tried to cancel online but anything leaving after April 9 is not eligible yet for the offers. I booked the Hilton and will wait until Carnival cancels or offers a new cancellation policy. I just can't see how they can sail Apr 11 based on what the government has been saying. Waited over an hour for Carnival on the phone until I hung up. Will try and call in off hours just to find out what is going on.
