We did book thru Island Marketing. We had a good time, it was pretty dry when we were there(first part of June) so it wasn't muddy. They took us to a nice private beach, at the time the sand fleas were bad there. We didn't notice them while we were there but had red polka dots every where when we got back to the ship. They didn't hurt or anything and faded pretty fast but maybe just a nuisance. This was in 2009 so maybe they have gotten better.

I got the $50 per person OBC without any hassle..... And I switched from Miami to Galveston to stay on the Breeze.

I switched from the 6 day to 7 out of Galveston and was able to keep the $50 pp OBC, I would definitely call and raise a fuss

We will be in Ocho Rios next summer on the Carnival Breeze. Anyone have any experience with Ziplining there and/or the River Tubing. We are traveling with 4 teens and young adults and try to make memories and like a little excitement.

Anyone have thoughts on the kayaks, parasailing or wave r7nners at Mr sanchos? It's my understanding that kayaks and snorkeling are included with AI. Traveling with 2 teenage boys my 19 yo daughter and 26 yo niece.

If you like gardens, sign up for a Butchart's Garden tour (http://www.butchartgardens.com/) either through your ship or indepenently with some roll call friends. It is about 30-40 min from the cruiseport.(it may not be open in the evenings yet)

Downtown is about a 20 min walk through a pleasant area, here is a link with some info and the various routes you can take into town http://victoriacruise.ca/.

There are lots of shops restaurants and pubs on Government St, if you and your roll call is inclined it would be a nice thing to go on a pub crawl along the street http://www.tourismvictoria.com/. Nothing rowdy. Just a few destinations as you walk the street browsing in shops. Most of the pubs are indepenent, have an Old World feel and are nice to drink in.

Hi there, We are going to be in Victoria on the Norwegian Pearl on June 7. We weren't sure about booking a tour, I looked at your link for the walking map and it says it is a 40 minute walk to down town? Is this round trip or each way. We would love to just walk around, maybe see some sights, do some shopping...

My boyfriend and I just booked this tour and Im wondering if anyone has done this tour before. We could not figure what to do while in this port. We read about the dune buggies and thought it sounded fun and a good way to see alot of the island. Would love to hear any experiences you have had!
